Even with all the rehash and fanservice, The Force Awakens had a nice lil vibe to it.
But f*** them for making us think Finn would play a big role and also be a Jedi or something.
The next two somehow makes TFA worse. Kinda how BvS and Snydercut make Man Of Steel worse
Iconic ending

Too much running around. No time for cool character moments to sink in. For me. They played it safe with that one. My problem isn’t that it’s a rehash of A New Hope, my problem is that it’s a rehash of Standard Adventure Movie. It owes more to JJ’s own Star Trek reboot than George Lucas. TLJ at least has way more iconic imagery, like the red sand planet.
movie / tv show having a basic plot or generic story doesnt make it bad
execution is way more important
Having basic characters however…

The only way to make a good movie in spite of that is to create an unforgettable experience
F&WS the best D+ show but Loki had the better ending out of the 3
Real AF
Above average show that gets s*** on cause it tackles race
Licorice Pizza is Mid90’s for older white women and not in a good way
Chungking Express *
That too! So far I've only really f***ed with in the mood for love from Wong Kar Wai
Seeing Marvel shills s*** on Sony while loving MCU Disney+ shows that are complete ass is hilarious
All this Disney+ shows are mid af Mando is the best one by far. They have cool moments but are lackluster collectively. Wouldn’t say they’re all ass but agree they’re far from great.

I like the Last Jedi just the Canto Bight s*** was boring and useless. Also minus some other choices in the film I think it is a good film still.
A lot of the people that hate on reviews rely on Letterboxd, Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB to think
This shouldn’t be unpopular cause everything is subjective with movies. But yeah you’re right I myself use them as just a general consensus on how people feel about something. Couldn’t take it as face value cause those expectations ruin your own experience going in with a certain mindset already.
Idk how people feel about Cabin in the Woods but I literally hated that movie I laughed at so many parts of it I thought it was so bad

True.
I hate last Jedi for different reasons tho I do applaud it for kinda being different.

I actually dig Fallen Angels, but I think these are mood movies. Gotta be in the mood for them

I'm a complete casual when it comes to star wars, maybe that's why I like the last Jedi lmao
Game of Thrones ending was good. Nowhere near as good as Breaking Bad, Sopranos, The Wire when the rest of the series is on that level, but in actuality it is George R R Martin's fault for not finishing the source material

Well it is a comedy

The fault is still on them for the horrendous execution and smashing 2 seasons worth of story into like 6 episodes
The major plot points are good it's just the way it plays out is so so dumb

All boils down to them tryna wrap up everything in like a few episodes, so that led to some dumbass handling of the material

For sure it was way too condensed. But I think there were other factors, like the actors getting older and more famous. They made that show for like 10 years without finished source material. I just think D&D got too much blame. Definitely deserve some of it though

It's not even bad points its just the abruptness of it all feels screwy.
