I hate when TV shows and movies design a scene around a song they want to flex for finding. Like the ending scene of Drive is so egregious with that

And it feels like a more common phenomenon these days

I can guarantee no director is thinking about flexing a song they “found”. It just so happens to be that a track can become the theme of a movie due to its use and once that movie blows up, it becomes synonymous with that project.

Nolan peaked at Interstellar and unless he makes a lower scale movie, will continue to make convoluted bullshit

The music in drive was the best part

The final act of Into the Spiderverse is a bit of a bore

You know what I hate about white fandoms
They'll see a character like Heero Yuey or Motoko Kusanagi and swear they're white or look like white people but will see a very African looking character and be like naw thats a tan

Most DC heads and a lot of people who aren't a fan of DC will say "the animated stuff is pretty dope" but to me that s*** fell of hard years ago.

You get a cool thing here or there but overall I been flaccid with animated DC. That new52 wave and bombardment of batman flicks was dry.

They also are odd at adapting stories. They'll pick at good stories and try to make an hour and a half flick put of em when they'd work better as mini serieses.

Might have to do an early annual rewatch because of this take. Never thought about it like that

just watched 3 movies in a row (all recent) that pulled the old "whats in the bag" question that the main character answers truthfully with a laugh because the answer is so unbelievable
