great looking movie with trash story > trash looking movie with great story
I mean
depends
great looking movie with trash story > trash looking movie with great story
love exposure destroys this theory
It’s currently No. 2 on Letterboxd’s “Official 250 Greatest Narrative Films of All Time” list, just below The Godfather
Damb, well imo those are for sure gosling's brightest spots especially for someone like me who doesn't like him that much, i recommend them
I've had song to song on my watchlist for the longest might try that first and see what you mean

Do it!!!! Its amazing
this premise for lars and the real girl though 😳
Yah lmao but gosling totally loses himself inside the character, probably his greatest performance imo
I would also like to say that Joe Dante is a genius and top 10 filmmaker oat
Joker is a 4/10 at BEST. The little plot that was there was trite, predictable ass,
and the whole narrative actively undermined the themes it tried to explicate to the viewer at the climax (woulda been better if he hadn’t said anything tbh)
visuals were not that impressive and the stair scene was corn incarnate.
more like a 2/10. Anyone who thinks that’s a noteworthy film this year needs to watch more films.
i went in expecting and wanting to like it

In what way does Love Exposure look like trash??

I wouldn't say top 10 but he's indeed an incredible director.
And that's even taking into account the existence of that recent Corey Feldman f***ery he made.

Deserving pick for sure

it’s got beautiful moments but mostly looks like it was filmed on Mini DV

Never really had a problem with it I guess 🤷🏻♂️ It maintains a consistent visual pattern and does a good job with matching the photography with whats happening on screen and tone. Also feel like the more handycam-type moments compliment the male characters' running around with little cameras to snap the "best pics" and how fast paced it all is haha

it’s got its own charm no doubt
the joaquin phoenix performance just made heath's performance that much better, joker was beyond boring, tedious, prentious.
it's basically the motion picture for losers and will age like milk.
Certain films are worth one watch in a Imax then never watching again. To watch certain films again is only to degrade the experience
The wire is good but the second season is abysmal and it really falls off towards the end. The sopranos reigns supreme as greatest tv series of all time.
Agreed but 1 3 and 4 were so classic it makes it the GOAT series for me
Did someone just say the Sobotka saga was "abysmal"??
Boi stop
Literally didn't get good until the end lmao
