Honestly even tho some of ian's music is catchy and fun to listen to, the only actual interesting/memorable part of his musical career is the juxtaposition between how he looks and the music he's making. Without the image behind it, his music would've never made any impact
Tyler was lowkey more disrespectful to rap than Ian ever was.
Tyler was lowkey on some meme irony s*** when he would listen to rappers like Gucci and Waka. Like “I’m too good for this s***, I listen to real music, but I’ll play this when it’s time to be silly” type of timing
even after tyler took a more serious turn in his career
he continued to celebrate and collaborate with street rappers like carti, maxo, 42 dugg, youngboy, uzi etc
hard to believe a nigga would ironically love gucci but genuinely love the children/grandchildren of gucci

Most of these collabs were post DJ Khaled comments though
you coulda bumped the original thread
bro wanted this moment let the white boy have it
I thought we were passed this Ian discourse the site was on for a minute
whites feeling a way let them columbus day is monday this their time
I dont blame ian for being unoriginal but i dont hold him in the high regard of a true artist
ian himself make good music for his lane but the speed with which he rose compared to everyone else on ig ads or explore page making variations of that type of music is where tyler point had validity but thats not what tyler focused on
but being fair the proudly suburban rapper who vaguely toes around saying the typical atlanta rapper s*** is a new spin on the archetype. It skips past cosplay and just gives the biggest fanbase of this music a straight up avatar that looks like them and has relatable lyrics
whites feeling a way let them columbus day is monday this their time
What's killing me the most is OP just keeps going "but when black artists do this
" like people don't get on their ass too

like the only unnecessary thing is Tyler giving it attention lead to craquers like OP being able to feel victimized and gave Ian fanbase attention they do not deserve.
These days they all say the same thing
Idk why ur complaining
Im jus tryn find with my heart
Reasons why i fell apart
Didn’t Tyler say Yonkers was him making a trash ny beat and sarcastically rapping like a ny rapper?

Deep reflection
Also I never heard an Ian song where the beat isn’t overpowering / louder then his voice
thread backfiring heavy on @op 's glorified thinly veiled tyler hate thread.
at least I acknowledged mine was a critique fo his content lol.
They face criticism only after you peel back the layers which took people years to finally do.
Doja f***s with Sam Hyde and then goes and makes a neo soul type song. That s*** is crazy to me
You mad people didn't know Doja had...problems?
Nobody (not even you) knew about that chat room stuff until it came out. And as soon as that N.O.R.E. tweet came out maaaad people IRL fell off her. One can argue that fallout played a LOT into her sales decreasing on the 2nd album.
