Artists make most of their money off of touring, so it’s literally in their best interest to sell as many tickets as they can

Actually it makes the most sense. Artists make their bred and butter ofc touring/merch so that’s how you know who your core fans are.

An artist can have a huge single or viral song, but not sell any tickets to their shows, because they don’t have any actual fans, just people that like a few popular songs by them
