Never saw that photo until today.
I was gonna make a compilation of all the ace beats that have leaked over the years but there’s literally hundreds of these b****es
i felt baited by the genre, ts not a dance album - and if i go by tyler explanation then literally any album with music is a dance album, that being said cool project, kinda filler-ish in his discography can’t see myself goin back to this like i go to his albums from cherry bomb to call me if you get lost but that might be a me thing since i didn’t enjoy chromakopia much either (the fact me and my ex bonded over tyler music probably doesn’t help, i be actively avoiding listening to him since we broke up - why i only got around listening to this today)
side note: would love for him to start collaborating more on the production side of things, probably would’ve done wonders on the “dance” side of things
as much as I personally hate the idea of remix albums, DTTG would be a crazy dance album or at least EP if he tapped in with the right producers and maybe restructured some of these joints
I know growth is a mf and we're supposed to change
I'm glad he's being his true self and enjoying the fruits of his labor but man
It's weird to see him become the thing he said he hated when coming up. And I know it's genuine ofc, but damn man I really haven't been able to hear his stuff since Flower Boy.

Define “the thing he said he hated growing up” I’ve seen people say this but I don’t get it Tyler seems to be the same person he’s always been.

I was relistening to the POV song he did with Clipse last year and it was so jarring
Doesn’t even feel like tyler the creator anymore

“I got deaf and blind b****es tryna see what it do”
Yeah that’s nothing like the Tyler the creator I remember where did it all go wrong

Same , cherry bomb was my fav and flower boy was a whole opposite vibe but it was good. But once he was on the Igor faze he became annoying and unlistenable for me then onwards with anything he dropped

The materialism and focus on luxury brands in his choice of clothing, jewellery and lyrics. Touched on it at the end of Keep the Os but he fully embraced it since like CMIYGL
Tyler today is definitely not the same person he's been pre-2017 lol

i think ever since flower boy he’s been trying his best to make music for as many people as possible. trying out lines like that bc he thinks they’re sticky and he delivers them in a weirder way is him doing just that
it’s funny bc he’s been going this way for almost 10 years but lines like that STILL feel almost juvenile in a way. trying his best to make a line stick
i love tyler but i can admit he’s just not that great of a writer. igor and little bits in cmigl and chromakopia will have some good lines and verses every now and again but he will always be a producer first to me
this mf had a pop up show in ATL last night and i missed it
That s*** crazy I found out about it as soon as I got off work last night but it was too late

lol my point is that’s a line Tyler would have spit at any point in his career lol

That’s just the life he’s living he used to rap about wearung supreme he just wears different brands now.
At the end of the day the guy has never really said anything of substance in his music so to me it doesn’t really matter everything he makes still sounds like himself.
This also still doesn’t explain the “he’s becoming the thing he hated” comments when did he say he hated that stuff?

I told you, end of Keep Da Os bruh

Even if you don't think he's saying anything of substance, you don't see how notoriously homophobic and edgy rapper making a break up album about another guy is a 180? Not saying this is "becoming what he hated" but to say he's still the same guy he always was is insane

He absolutely is
