There’s a pretty clear difference between the artists that care about the art form and can joke around and have fun with it and those who are in it for the clout and the quick streams
who is saying “rap doesn’t count as real music”? tyler definitely didn’t say that especially considering he makes f***ing rap. what the f*** are you babbling about?
y’all gotta stop biting the bait of @Killa_K’s alt please man
dude doesn’t argue in good faith and is a f***ing weirdo, he’s on his 5th alt already for a reason
if you make music youre a musician, no matter how ass you are, but there is clearly people who only take the job to make trendy s*** for a check
dont feed into white supremacy and gatekeep what being a musician is
some switch flipped in tylers head in 2017 where he thought he was better than everyone
Tyler really went from idgaf skate boy hippie cringe lord to elitist rich boy, but honestly knowing the neighborhood where he’s from Im not surprised
Nobody would know who Tyler is if he didn’t blow up off of Yonkers. He can’t accuse others of doing something that he owes his career to, even if he’s tried to distance himself.
You're actually proving his point. Tyler would have just been a meme rapper/one hit wonder if he didn't cultivate a loyal fanbase by proving his artistry every album. He's the perfect messenger for this.
musician
/myo͞oˈziSH(ə)n/
a person who plays a musical instrument, especially as a profession, or is musically talented.
rappers make "music" but they are not musicians
the voice is an instrument rtard
some switch flipped in tylers head in 2017 where he thought he was better than everyone
He's always been like this
Why the f*** Tyler l talking to maverick carter
past few years they started to just put a bunch of celebrities in a room and tell them “alright start talking”
It's the same in all the genres. Low barrier to entry so we got a lot of talentless hacks in the game and they all get exposed once they have to perform live
It's not necessarily a bad thing as it just means more music for us but I hate the fact that a lot of those trash artists are getting more love than the artists with actual talents
Another thing to factor in is the business side of things. It's hard to give a f*** when you bleed money from touring and that's been a major concern for a while, so in a sense, I do get why some of these musicians tend to stretch themselves thin by trying to do so many things outside of perfecting their craft
He's always been like this
i feel like he was a funny dude earlier idk he stopped joking and now he’s some pompous prick. love his music tho
I do actually think there are some fundamental difference between the new generation of rappers coming up out of the underground today and those that did say.. 10-15 years ago (Tyler's generation) and it really all comes down to ambition.
if we were to compare the albums that tyler's generation created when they were 18-24 to today's generation's album/songs, not only were they more varied in sound/production but also subject matter, aesthetic, and creativity.
why do you think there’s such a big difference between the new gen and old?
why do you think there’s such a big difference between the new gen and old?
soundcloud era brought us incredible music but the meme rappers changed how people viewed it
He isnt wrong
The rappers hes talking about literally tell u they dgaf about music
Tyler is completely right. He’s not s***ting on the rap genre as a whole at all lmao. Anyone who said that didn’t watch the clip
lil yachty already said this guys 🙄
Lil Yachty
Lol, I actually think if Yachty was the one saying what Tyler is saying, that would be wild and even more controversial
why do you think there’s such a big difference between the new gen and old?
New gen has literally no care for the history of rap, like no knowledge of what came before them
Rocky, Tyler, Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Mac Miller etc all the niggas from that era were all knowledgeable about rap
rappers were never real musicians somebody like bach is a real musician
What in Ben Shapiro's name is this
