Also IGOR was written about a guy in his early 20s. CMIYGL was written abt a 19 year old girl tho

As a former Tyler stan who pretty much outgrew him and his music I will say this - Tyler is a very talented artist, one of the best in this generation, but as years go by and he matures he's turning out to be a really pretentious, materialistic, elitist adult - and honestly, seeing as since he was 20 he's been rich and getting the peak of whatever fashion he wants it's not surprising

I will say though, as much as T harps on being "weird" and "different" and "intricate" his music really isn't that weird lmfao. That tochiRTA guy was right - Tyler's hardly the "weirdo" he's claimed to be for so long. His old music just got him that reputation cause of the off-kilter drums and using mysterious ass stock synths. Not to mention personality and sense of humor. But honestly anyone who listens to music JUST beyond the surface level can tell you none of Tyler's actual music is really all that jarring or different

Its semi-noteworthy that "real musicians" have said this about hip hop forever. I have old heads in my life who think Kanyes music sucks because he "doesn't make music, he just samples other peoples music"

If there was like a "most improved producer" award he absolutely would get and deserve it tho. It's crazy how beautiful and well produced something like Garden Shed is compared to the s*** on Goblin
