Tyler acting like when albums was coming out back in the days kids wasnt talking about it with each other lmfao
wait. i actually don't like Take Your Mask Off. lmao. just the last verse
First listen I loved it but now I’m iffy on it
There's like 5 songs I REALLY like from it, the rest I dunno. Sonically this album feels like stuff he's done before but not as good. I can appreciate the vulnerability from him on this but it's just a lot of talking on first listen and it sounds harsh but I really didn't care like that lol. Maybe I need to come back to it when I'm in a different mood or something but it just did not pull me in on first listen.

yup, i swear i liked Darling, I and Take Your Mask Off more on first listen lol
Controversial Take Alert: The hyper-specificity of Tyler's bars relating to his own life gets in the way of replay value
Like I enjoyed WILSHIRE but I do not know if I could listen to that in full again

I can agree to this, more general bars would help him out in terms of replay value
Ehhh
I'm just speaking for these dead beats. If anything it makes them double down on being a loser
Ehhh
My point was more so about responsibility shifting or at least extending to your offspring, but of course, ain't s*** niggas exist.
Any one else pissed that the only venues bigger artists book for concerts are seated stadiums???
This album has so much f***ing energy, I want to go to the concert and mosh not sit in a f***ing chair. It's one of the worst parts about seeing your favorite artists reach superstar status. Like tyler was my first concert on the wolf tour 10 years ago and dude was at the newport, now he only comes to the schottenstein center....
like him
Like I enjoyed WILSHIRE but I do not know if I could listen to that in full again
Everytime I play the album is listen to Wilshire because it's an important part of the story, & its at the end. You might as well listen to it & then it's safari

i hate being that guy but the mix on that song is legit unbearable, especially for the 8 minutes it goes on for
I wish Tyler had more relatable bars but I think it'd be dishonest for him to act like he has the same life experiences as most people, he's weirdly antagonistic towards his listeners in a way that most artists aren't sometimes tho
I think it’s less he’s antagonistic and more he doesn’t allow for a parasocial relationship whereas a lot of artists kinda play into it. I actually like that
I can agree to this, more general bars would help him out in terms of replay value
Like if you look at Spaceship by Kanye, that's a song anyone in a low-paying dumbass grind of a job can relate to, but if Tyler made a track like that I feel like it'd be an extremely detailed narrative about his specific gripes with other employees
