FlyHiiiIs there any other work of Lynch where you could compare The Return to? I've heard of so many people who were long time TP fans that seemed putt off by it, while also many others are saying it might be one of the best pieces of media ever made
I love watching this show with my gf, because i'm never able to watch a series by myself since i always prefer to peep a film. But she mainly loves TP for the soap opera stuff and quirky characters
Me on the other hand, i can't wait for Lynch to go full surreal and abstract. Because although i do really enjoy TP, it isn't all that weird watching it in 2021
Tbh all the Lynch movies feel like long episodes of The return imo

Give it time, it really wears you down. Iām sure on repeat viewings when your brain knows the outline of the arc itās not as bad. Iām on my first watch with no clue where or why itās going. I was like at 10-11 thinking hey this isnāt all bad, and a couple eps later I was truly feeling it.

First 9 of S2 was phenomenal. Comparing this stretch to that & S1 is what made it brutal but it wasnāt the worst thing I ever watched for sure
