Thanks maybe Iāll check that out
Wild at Heart lowkey highkey freaky too tbh
but def worth checking out, like honestly almost everything Lynch. I'd say Mulholland is probably his least freaky great work (though still got some moments), Inland Empire is arguably the freakiest of them all (also great fkn film tho imo)
If you want his most Hollywood-conforming film that's Elephant Man, that one's only outwardly grotesque

This is the response from the actress who played Lucy. Starting to think it could be season 4 again.

Has lynch made any remarks to The Return being hailed as a movie besides saying he shot it like one?
Different publications view it as a separate medium whether itās a mini series, movie or follow up to S2
watched the first two episodes and hated it
part of me wants to hate watch the rest because of the pedestal so many put this on and i feel like it probably gets better
but damn its hard

How do you conceptualise a continuing story versus a closed form like a film?
Lynch: The closed one has a form, and itās called a feature film. The open one has no form. Itās got the possibility to go on forever, and itās thrilling because it allows for magical things to happen. Youāre going deeper and deeper into this world. Ideas are flowing and it could go anywhere. And thatās a beautiful thing.
Which is Twin Peaks: The Return?
Lynch: Itās an 18-hour film. You could see it all at once without the opening credits each time. Stick it together and itād be a long film.

I'd say if you don't like it by like episode 5 it probably is not for you.
Watched the pilot and man what an episode. Loved everything about it. The characters and their quirky interactions. The mystery you always feel like its lurking around. The music, scenery and ambience of the town add such a charm to the whole thing. Can't wait to get through the rest of this.
I legit dont think I liked a pilot episode more than this one.

Yes!!! If you already like the Pilot you're not ready for the rest of this amazing f***ing show.

awesome thanks for the reply
still trying to wrap my head around return being a movie though, I do feel like there are some major cuts and moments (road house shows) that really split the story into episodes rather than a single narrative but I also get where lynch is coming from in that thereās not much of a line

thereās nothing like this
makes other āworldsā look like high school plays, the story of this town runs DEEP..

To be fair, the roadhouse scenes are also the only things that make it feel like a tv-show in my opinion.
Overall it just feels like all random scenes that don't have an episode-to-episode structure besides the roadhouse, except part 8
