HBO used to stand for something, now they greenlighting bullshit like this and Tokyo Vice!
The spiral, y'all seeing this too?

Detective: Do you know what this is? 🌀
Guy who never saw a spiral before: Yes… once. It is a sacred symbol…
Navarro is just a joke. Feels s***ty calling out an actor on their freshman performance but it’s so beneath the title of the show. Like sometimes you can barely tell what emotion she’s going for or what she’s trying to convey with her stiff face and monotone voice
The laughable dialogue writing isn’t helping either. The directing/editing is often over-dramatic in those meaningless scenes about the lives of characters we have no good reason to care about, and confusing and silly during the paranormal parts.
Just bad bad bad
I think she’s great! So interesting to see how much y’all ain’t enjoying it 😭
yea im gonna waste my time elsewhere, im not watching anymore
Come on, man. You can't stop now. Sit it out with the rest of us..

Hush your mouth, Danny! Tokyo Vice is a good show

Not a HBO thing as this is riding of the coattails of S1-3. Actually the tying into S1 thing the show runner tried to do w Harte/Cohle (whether in the show or through stuff said in interviews idek) reassured me not to tune into this after 1 ep. cause I find s*** like really creatively shallow especially when the show isn't that good to begin with
It's aight but let's be real. No Pizalatto, No T Bone Burnett, 6 episodes instead of 8. This may as well have been another Mare of Easttown. All comes down to the money and the IP lying dormant. Should've just been Night Country and stood on its own vibe.
Does Jodie really hate Twist and Shout because that one guy whistled it out of tune for a few seconds

Yeah it's not as bad as this but no, I would not particularly call it "good". It's fine.
Sorry but my hot take is that yesterdays episode was the best of TD since Season 1…
I come bearing good news
'True Detective: Night Country' Episode 5 to Stream Early on Max (February 9) Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII

That Mare show was boring af. Stopped at episode 2. Back to your point, I always thought Pizza and Cary Fukunaga helped each other or needed each other to bring results.
What’s the consensus on s4? Started ep 1 and it seems promising. I enjoyed the showrunner’s past work
I’m an Alaska homicide detective. No, I don’t know how to tell if somebody froze to death and I don’t really know the area that well. Every bad thing that happened in my life was soundtracked by Twist And Shout. My boss withheld 10,000 relevant case files for the murder I was leading an investigation into, so the case went cold. Yes I f*** him regularly anyway. I’ve f***ed literally every guy in town even though nobody can stand me. I’ll let my stepdaughter film herself f***ing her underage girlfriend but won’t let her explore her Native heritage. And yes I do a lil drunk driving despite the fact I had to adopt her due to a drunk driving accident. But at the end of the day? I’m the best detective in this whole damn town 😎
S2-3 deniers you didn't know how good you had it!
Season 1 had the better journey
But season 2 had the better ending

I’m loving it but everyone in here hates it
Season 2 is actually pretty good on rewatch tbh
i semi liked this new season until i rewatched S1. now this s*** is just ass lmao. bout to rewatch S2 too

hell no

I agree
The case itself is interesting, imo, and i love the focus on the supernatural
This episode had the most of actual plot progression regarding the case and very little boring interpersonal drama
Also, massive bonus points for Into Dust, the greatest song ever made

Hell yes
CGI in ep 1 was a little weird but the setting and shots have been killer too esp in the last few
And The soundtrack has been on point all season
Lots of good sound in this ep all around!!
Acoustic version of I follow by lykke li last ep was amazing too
