Everything else like the characters, their relationships etc feels a bit undercooked and uninteresting. I feel like even directing wise they aren't doing anything interesting especially given the amazing setting.

The underuse of the setting is so crazy to me. Like some atmospheric shots of the larger environment would REALLY help it feel less like a cable true crime show. shows that some tasteless execs decided this would work for the TD "brand" despite being a totally different thing. The focus on the setting is a huge part of the last 3 seasons
