You sign up for a "block" You go to the warehouse, pick up packages. They give you a route and your drop them off it takes about 2-3 hours and you can make anywhere from 50-80 per run. All in your own car
mostly getting the $100 bonus; it was really just an $85 hour day, and most of the orders were no-tips

probably like 7-8 lol it was a pretty s*** day bonus aside
worked 7a to a lil past noon and made like $45 bc all my orders were s*** and few and far between(had to accept bc i was 17 orders away from finishing the challenge that ended tonight), then said f*** this and worked out, took a nap, then came back at 4 and got a whole bunch of $6-8 orders in a couple hours
those s***ty stretches so stressful lmao. you’re just sitting in your car pissed off watching youtube on your phone

depends on what block is available. They hire in batches and right now i'm on the waitlist but I'm sure come closer to the holiday season they're gonna hire new people on
Most of em over here be $7 but i wait til i get $10 and up and maybe 9 too depending on if its worth the distance. And I always take it if they add on an extra order to my route
Ight so boom im lazy as s*** avoiding homework so ima bless yall with the ultimate doordash guide. Following this, you should easily be able to make 1,000 a week working 35-45 hours, and dealing with little to no bullshit. Ask me any questions you got and im sure i got an answer. This is really the easiest job in the world and for how easy it is you can make a good bit of money playing it safe
First thing is to pick a market. Most people just turn on the dash in whatever zone they live in but that's not always best. To keep it simple, I suggest finding a decently populated 'zone' and stick with middle to upper middle class areas in that zone. I say this because I realized that the poor areas dont tip s*** and generally middle-upper middle will tip "fair" to great. For me, my crib is literally on the line of two good zones and the good area is right around my house, but this might be different for yall. So now that you have a general area that youll work in, find a populated center with a lot of food places. This will typically be a plaza/shopping center. Ideally, you want this place to have middle-upper tier restaurant chains like PF Changs, Maggianos, Applebees etc. Reason why you want restaurants like this is because 1. people ordering from here are typically ordering for the family and 2. the prices are typically going to be higher. These two things will help raise the subtotal of the order which leads to higher tips because middle class people will often tip the standard 15% or better. If its an expensive meal(150$ +), Ive found that most people will cap off at a flat 10$ tip or maybe 10% if youre lucky.
Ight so lets get into order selection bc this is where the real money is at. First thing, you wanna be parked in the parking lot of these plazas so youll most likely get pinged for the order due to proximity. Next thing(super important) is distance. I dont do anything above 5 miles, unless i expect a high tip(like 15$ plus); ill get more to that in a bit. Its not worth it taking long distance orders because 1. it wastes your f***ing time and 2. it puts you further from the plaza/area that you actually want to be in. The way I see it, a 7 mile order may really end up being 14 because I'm driving the 7 miles there and driving all the way back to my preferred area. My general rule is the showed payout has to be about 2-4x mileage. So a $7 order has to be under around 2-3ish miles. That being said there are exceptions to this mileage rule. One is if i'm already far and an order is bringing me back home, or I know its highway driving(6 miles can be less than 10 minutes on the highway). Also, I dont do orders below $6 and its pretty rare that i even take those. Has to be one of them lazy ass under 1 mile orders for me to take a $6 order.

how much can you make per day you'd say?
Ight so now ima give yall the real undercover information
. Doordash feds better not be watching
. Doordash hides tips. You know that, I know that, your auntie knows that. But it seems that the number that they start to hide a tip is $5 and up. The base pay from DD is typically $3 unless theres peak pay or its a super long distance(but like i said before we declining them s***s anyway
). That being said $5 tip (or more) + $3 base = $8. In most markets, this is the "magic number". Meaning majority of orders with above a $5 tip will only initially show up as $8 when u first grab it. Also i gotta add real quick that peak pay is added to this, so if theres $2 peak your "magic number" is now $8 + 2 so $10. Anyway, the way to make real money in doordash is mainly cherry picking these "magic number orders." But its always a gamble because you dont know how much the customer is tipping since it might just be $5. So what you gotta do is stack everything you know in your favor. As I said earlier, the restaurants in your plaza should be decently pricey so the first thing to take advantage of is the number of items. When you get orders, you can see the number of items before you accept. So if you see, for example, PF Changs, with 6 items, you know already that the order total will be at LEAST 50ish dollars realistically on the low end. And as I said, you want to be in areas you already know tip decent, so assuming 15%, which is standard from middle class and up, this is a $7 tip waiting for you. I can keep rambling on about more details but im gonna keep it short from now. So basically what I do is, decline anything that is under $8, and when I see $8 I look at item count as well as obviously the restaurant. Ill only accept when i see higher item counts and 8/10 times it ends up being a high subtotal (50 plus dollars) and therefore unless the customer is a cheap f***, i typically get over guarantee orders. Roughly in the 10-20$ range. And like i said, i only do short distance anyway so its not taking me more than 30 minutes per order usually. Restaurant wait is the biggest time waster. Anyway the only way this strat fails is obviously when theres zero orders coming in or when you grab a 8 item Applebees order but it ends up being 20 f***ingdollars because the fatty ordered 6 drinks
.
I work typically from 4-8 since thats the dinner rush and has most order volume as well as the biggest money spent per order. Doing this, I average roughly 20$ an hour on slow nights, and even up to 50$ an hour on crazy nights. My best night ever was $230 from 4-7:30 so almost $60 an hour. On average my busy nights(Friday and saturday) bring in around 30-35 an hour. All this while bumping some Future in my f***ing car
