Thunder wave beautiful . Drunk my favorite album of his . It’s his you’re dead flylo , the epic Kamasi or neo wax bloom for me where it lands on so many emotions and perfectly encapsulates him as an artist . Feels so far like I don’t fully see the concept or weirdness of this one but enjoy the journey of it . Some artist once they make that one album for me where I fully understand them I just feel like I’m just chasing that high

Maybe I’m numb . Maybe it’s nostalgia for a different time

    Album is fire af

  • Just listened to the singles on a run earlier, gotta peep the full release

  • What Is Left To Say wow

  • Been waiting like 2 years for walking on the moon lol

  • This album’s incredible. Might be my favorite of his.

  • He tapped in with a big pop producer for this album. Who produced Adele’s albums, Sia, Beyoncé etc. I think hearing him with a glossy straight forward palette lead to some songs that are a bit nondescript and plain compared to his brainfeeder type stuff. but when it works on here it lead to some of his best stuff. What is Left To Say is godly

  • What is left to say is a soty contender what a song

  • Why is Lil Yachty trying to do a terrible impression of Slick Rick and Tyler the Creator on this song?

I'm trying real hard myself because Thundercat been one of my favorite artists since the early 2010s. He's never missed in my eyes but so far this is...not bad, but it just ain't hitting like it normally does. Feels kinda sanded down in a sense, that and like retreads of songs from past projects.

There is a nice lil run from What is Left to Say to Walking on the Moon though.

I feel like every indie artist reaches this point where their individual songs still sound good but the albums dont excite anymore

The album needed more flying lotus . He toned down his humor and personality a bit for this one . Maybe to reach a larger audience or be accepted. The infectious ear worm dance type songs not present for me but there are good moments

Yeah I’m trying to think of one that is consistent and it’s not just indie .

Cashmere cat I love every time the weirdness

  • This Thing We Call Love is fire

  • Damn. This wasn’t hitting like his last two albums for me. Drunk is one of my favorite albums of all time. Outside of a few of the singles, the only track I really loved was Walking on the Moon

  • Despite its more accessible approach this album is dope

  • It was cool listening to this while playing Brotato

  • the song with Willow has grown on me a lot
