GoshCommunication is very important bro, they don't run a hostel, the LEAST you can do is be like "Hey im staying out late with my friends tonight would you mind keeping the door unlocked" it's that easy and just simple respect

Have a respectful conversation with them and tell them it’s time for you to have more autonomy and freedom, but make sure they know you also recognize you can do better like other people in here said (shooting them a text if you’re out late, etc)
Other people in here said paying rent which isnt a bad idea
