how do you objectively quantify "how they are still relevant today, artists they have influenced, events they have influenced"
yes I agree that you can say the objective part about Ice Cube vs someone's cousin and 2pac vs logic, but I think it's a lot harder when you're trying to compare the #10 rapper OAT vs the #11 rapper OAT to see who gets left out. in cases where both of their influence is undeniable its harder to compare
idk if quantify is even the right word since ofc no ones trying to calculate some score or anything
That’s why it’s not in any order, and you just agreed with my point that yes there is a way to objectively tell. People not mulling over every single tiny detail does not mean it cannot be measured. Yes it is a lot harder, but not entirely impossible. Which is why it’s a top ten consensus that tries to account for multiple things. Glad we agree family

you either just misinterpret the point on purpose or literally can't read
i dont care it wasnt even my argument anyway lol
How many of those albums are solo? I’ll wait
The no Solo Album argument is irrelevant
there’s a large enough body of work that shows he’s among the greatest to ever do it

All respect to 3000 but duo work don’t qualify you for a top 10 list when everyone else on it is a solo star. Even ye and jayz made a duo album, and still have impressive enough solo discographies to make the list.
3000 could have made top 10 had he took being a solo star serious. He can’t stand on his own for whatever reason so he can’t be a greatest rapper at least not in the top 10.
Get drake TF outta there
Cornball
if ur saying objective = consensus then yea, otherwise I don't think so
Longevity
Ehhh, your list was decent for the most part OP, but Scarface and Ice Cube has to be on the list somewhere.

Love em both but neither of them deserve it more than anyone in op
they def a lock for the 11-20 list tho

We’re talking about individual greatness as a rapper here not who was the biggest star I’m not taking away points just because some never officially released a solo album
Surprised that Eminem and Andre 3000 are causing the most controversy out of everybody lol
Surprised that Eminem and Andre 3000 are causing the most controversy out of everybody lol
Eminem has made almost exclusively bad music in most people on heres opinion despite his skill and popularity
And andre 3000 literally has no solo career to show for himself
So its not thwt surprising I think
Get drake TF outta there
yeah theres no room for him in a top 10 list in all honesty
gotta put big boi right there with andre too
I would too but I feel like big boi doesn’t have it like Andre does nowadays
This the list rappers say so everyone’s happy and you have no idea what they personally are into
niggas would not put wayne in a top 10 list to please everyone please stop it
Idk who I’d take out of this list cus it’s a great list but I’d also want to include ghostface killah, missy elliott, and maybe lauryn hill
