Saw some theoryâs about it being a shorter version ( explains price diff ) maybe 2 album(versions) dropping lol wouldnât make sense tho
TWOOO VERSIONS
My copium was saying he was doing that bc too many people were saying the 22 date so he still wanted it to be a surprise
Hmmm I could definitely see this
So, my wifeâs boyfriend (yes, wifeâs boyfriend, stay mad) works at Hot Topic as head of regionâhe/they oversees all 7 satellites AND the flagship store in our city. Last night, they got this MASSIVE shipment in, like pallets on pallets of something, and the packaging was mad cryptic. No labels, no branding, just black shrink wrap and a sticker that said âDO NOT OPEN UNTIL FRIDAYâ in bold red letters. The kicker? It was accompanied by a memo from corporate saying if anyone opens it early, theyâd be fired on the spot and reported to âregional authoritiesâ (wtf does that even mean?).
So obviously, they texted me about it because 1) theyâre a blabbermouth, and 2) Iâm the only one who doesnât work at HT who knows how deep the rabbit hole goes. This isnât the first time something like this has happened. Back in 2019, they received a shipment like this that turned out to be exclusive Billie Eilish merch that never even hit stores, it was strictly for influencers. Another time, it was those Fallout Nuka Cola energy drinks that Hot Topic never officially soldâlike some limited stock only meant for âtesting.â
But this time? This feels different. Apparently, the staff are FREAKING out in the group chat. One of the assistant managers (the guy who pierced my wifeâs second septum ring, absolute legend) SWEARS he heard something humming inside one of the boxes. Iâm not making this up. Another staff member is convinced itâs some kind of experimental Funko Pop dropâlike those blacklight versions but more cursed. Meanwhile, my wifeâs boyfriend is spiraling, thinking it could be AI-generated merch collabs or some viral marketing stunt where Hot Topic is about to unleash chaos on social media.
Hereâs the real tea, though. When the truck driver dropped it off, they were wearing a full-on suit and tie. Not even HT delivery gear, just some Men in Black-level nonsense, and when one of the employees tried to joke about it (âooh, secret Twilight drop?â), the driver just stared at them for like 10 solid seconds before saying, âYouâll see.â BRO.
Anyway, weâre planning to sneak in Thursday night after close. Iâll update yâall if I donât get banned from the mall again. If I suddenly stop posting, assume Iâve been taken out by the Hot Topic shadow ops division. Stay safe out there.

new timeless mix has unfortunately won me over. agenda dropped. still not a genre that should be on this album but i like it.
Okay, so update on the Hot Topic situation. I wasnât gonna post this yet because I wanted more proof, but things are getting too weird. My wifeâs boyfriend just called me (they NEVER call, always textâred flag already), and they said they overheard the store manager whispering to the assistant manager about âprepping for Thursday night.â And then they dropped the name âNavraj Singh Gorayaâ like it was no big deal.
Now, if you donât know (casuals stay out of this), thatâs NAVâs real name. Yeah. My guy Navraj. THE NAV. And thatâs not allâthereâs been these crazy rumors flying around on Twitter and KTT that his feature on The Weekndâs new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, is dropping this week. Supposedly Thursday night. So youâre telling me Hot Topic, of all places, is sitting on some mysterious embargoed shipment at the same time? Nah, itâs not a coincidence.
Think about it: The Weekndâs whole vibe lately has been dark, mysterious, post-apocalyptic. Exactly the kind of aesthetic Hot Topic lives for. This could be some kind of collab dropâexclusive merch, vinyls, maybe even special edition Dawn FM figures or something. AND get this: my wifeâs boyfriend said the shrink wrap on the pallets wasnât blackâit was deep red with these weird silver streaks running through it. Thatâs literally on-brand for The Weeknd. Have yâall seen the visuals heâs been teasing lately? Blood-red skies, metallic accents, the whole âlast night on Earthâ vibe.
But hereâs whatâs really messing me up. A few days ago, someone on 4chan claimed that Hot Topic stores were going to âplay a key roleâ in The Weekndâs album rollout. Nobody took it seriously because it sounded ridiculous, but now? Iâm connecting the dots. Hot Topic doesnât just get random unmarked shipments with strict NDAs. This is BIG. Corporate big. Music industry big.
Iâm 90% sure this package has something to do with Hurry Up Tomorrow, and if Iâm right, weâre talking a HISTORIC moment in Hot Topic history. Like, bigger than the Twilight merch boom, bigger than My Chemical Romance reunion tees.
Anyway, Iâm pulling up to the mall tonight with a flashlight and bolt cutters because I need answers. If I end up in jail or on TMZ, you know why. Let me know if yâall hear anything else because I feel like Iâm losing it over here. Abel, if youâre reading this, please just DM me and put me out of my misery.

I had a panic attack this morning
I had a panic attack this morning while driving to work. I was listening to The Weekndâs latest singles when suddenly a rush of feelings washed over me, I honestly couldnât do it justice by describing it, however it felt close to a panic attack, I was thinking about HUT, this rollout, and 22 of November. Itâs only 4 days away, then I looked at the clock and it was very early morning and I thought to myself oh my god time is so f***ing slow and it wonât pass away.
I thought what if the album does drop on this day, suddenly I couldnât catch my breath and my heart was pounding so fast.
If this happens to you, take deeeeep breaths.
Everything is gonna be okay.

Bro, this is insane, but also same. I deadass just read your comment and had to step outside because I started pacing around my living room like I was in an A24 film. My wifeâs boyfriend came in and was like, âAre you good?â and I straight-up said, âNo. Time isnât real and neither is my sanity.â
Like, the idea of Hurry Up Tomorrow actually dropping on the 22nd feels like a cosmic EVENT. Youâre out here having a panic attack in your car, Iâm over here writing my will because what if this album completely redefines music and Iâm not emotionally prepared for it? Deep breaths, you say? Iâve been breathing so deep I accidentally hyperventilated into a Hot Topic bag.
And can we talk about how this whole rollout is literally gaslighting us? Abelâs been dropping hints like a breadcrumb trail, and now weâre out here losing our minds while the man himself is probably sipping wine on a yacht, laughing at us. Bro, I donât even know if Iâll make it to Thursday without a doctorâs note. Hang in there, weâre in this together. If we both survive, meet me at Hot Topic. First round of limited print HUT vinyls on me.
