TheFaderSave Your Tears was an album cut that blew up the moment he started promoting it as a single with the bridge performance and the music video. So I disagree with your point there.
This is not true.
Save Your Tears wasnât released as a single until August 2020, and it didnât climb back into the Top 50 of the Hot 100 until the chart dated January 23rd, 2021. Almost a year after itsâ release.
The music video released on January 4th, 2021. It took four entire months for the song to re-enter the chart after being released as a single, and then another 3 weeks after the music video dropped to reach a high position. It was not âthe moment he started promoting it as a singleâ
It was released in the US in November as a single. It blew up directly after the music video dropped, but it had been increasing in popularity gradually after he performed it at the AMAs. I agree the song didn't fully blow up until January, so "the moment" was a poor choice of words by me.
But it doesn't change my view that DITF doesn't have the juice that Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears had to become a much bigger hit than it is. And it's only my opinion, I could be totally wrong and will happily admit it if I am.
