I mean
they've worked together on a track before already
What song is thet
Not gonna lie though
What I mean when I say I’d like something w no electronic influence
Is some s*** like this

Idk if he has the pipes for it but godddd
why would Weeknd drop this year if his After Hours tour is in 2022?
He’s been working on music
Gives him more s*** to play instead of just extending the after hours era more and more
We definitely not getting a new album/era though but I think a MDM type project is pretty likely

He mentioned he’s working on new music + is wondering he’s going to balance the AH tracks on tour with the music he’s working on now

Ive been wanting this direction on some MJ heal the world i cant stop loving you too
After the Grammys s*** I fully expect him to just drop another album, just because he can

This is so far from what hes been doing to me
I know everybody loves him for his dark sounding s*** but I’d love him to move away from that in the future

Yessir
It would be hard for him to pull off though his songwriting and vocals would both really need to reach a new level
This is so far from what hes been doing to me
that’s what I’m saying
Just a complete left turn
I know everybody loves him for his dark sounding s*** but I’d love him to move away from that in the future
I’m pro it but if he’s gonna keep doing it he needs to realllllllyyy push the production to some crazy s*** imo
I know everybody loves him for his dark sounding s*** but I’d love him to move away from that in the future
Not unrealistic tbh
He has a whole “happy album” that he made in 2017 that he scrapped right before MDM

Very unpopular but i agree.
Attention off Starboy is my most played track i swear
that’s what I’m saying
Just a complete left turn
Im not trying to be a hater but this comparison is just wild to me and I honestly dont know if hes able to pull it off. However I'm all for an artist trying to go for something like this and looking to grow.

Damn did he ever say why he scrapped it? I’d love to hear how that sounds

Breh you’re allowed to have opinions I promise

yea exactly I really don’t know if he’d be able to do it well enough but he’s one of the few artists who’s mainstream that I feel would actually have the ambition/vision to try and bring the soul genre back Into popularity

I know but Im not really a regular poster in here so me coming itt and saying this could come over as a hater. I'm all for it nonetheless
I don’t think his voice is good enough to pull this off (idk if anyone’s is in music rn) but imagine a collab w Leon bridges

Damn did he ever say why he scrapped it? I’d love to hear how that sounds
While My Dear Melancholy was released following The Weeknd's split from Selena Gomez, the singer says the project recorded before that was more upbeat and beautiful. "Prior to Melancholy, I had a whole album written, done, which wasn’t melancholy at all because it was a different time in my life," he told Time.
“It was very upbeat—it was beautiful," he added. But according to the singer, he got rid of the album because that stage of his life was over. "I don't want to perform something that I don't feel," he said. As for the project ever seeing the light of day, The Weeknd says fans will "never" hear it.
