It's nuts when you realize he pretty much perfected pop music with BBTM then made Starboy straight after just on some fun braggadocios s*** and still made some great dope music with some strong ass layers:banderas:
That’s why he’s my GOAT literally is just peak music through and through
The thing about Starboy is that there aren't any bad songs. If you are a fan of pop music, almost every track has something for you. It's just that it's missing that feeling of "something more" that a weeknd album usually has. Thats why an After Hours or Dawn FM succeeds when Starboy (at least critically and with the core fanbase) fails
What da hell
listen to both of their chorus. DBMH is like a slower version of LTL's chorus

Facts. That’s something we don’t really talk about enough. I really don’t think there are any “bad” songs in his discography. There’s definitely s*** that maybe doesn’t resonate with people as strongly as other songs, but idk how you could listen to any song in his discography and think “damn this is not a good song”
Except maybe Poison or Blinding Lights w Rosalia

Poison would've actually been good if they didn't f*** up Aaliyah's vocals. Abel's part was pretty on point.
Keep these hacks far away from Abel lmao.
i hope they just bankroll it, and not direct it.

I love that we're having this discussion today cause I think it's pretty important too. We gotta think about how we approach albums and manage expectations. Not sure how you can go into Starboy especially after hearing the first single and knowing that his last album was only a year ago and expect it to be the most layered and lyrical album possible. Sometimes it's best to just look at stuff at surface level and realise that it's just trying to be a fun album.
Sam Levinson is questionable for sure but at least he has respect for film as a medium, I don’t really get the hate because he can actually direct.
But the Russo Bros are literally the antithesis of cinema in general and would be a great way for Abel to ruin his film career before it even started
If you're fans of The Boys
LMFAOOOOO YESSSSS

I've only seen the Avengers movies.
What else have they done?
