2nd time Hurricane gets played there
Random thought but just thinking about how False Alarm and Rockin get the most hate in the fanbase but the last time I saw Abel live those two songs had the crowd most hyped up lol. Great songs

Man I remember how annoying the starboy hate was back then.
Like definitely some of it is warranted, there are some meh songs on the tracklist. But Rockin always was and has been a banger, I remember fighting ppl about it on KTT1

Absolutely man, the hate was unbearable back then. It's not his best album by some margin but when you consider how important this album was for his trajectory and the switch he was trying to make you definitely appreciate it more. I heard some songs again recently that I wasn't that fond of back in the day (True Colors, Attention) and honestly they're not that bad at all now lol. I hate that this album and songs like Rockin, Secrets weren't played in enough clubs/nightclubs man, it was meant for that s***!

the second pre-chorus on rockin

Love to Lay is probably my least liked Weeknd song. Something about it just doesn’t sit right with me

I’ve always seen Love To Lay as like a worse version of A Lonely Night
damnnn love to lay a classic for me
edit: upon revisiting starboy ive actually found myself coming back to other songs, where in the past love to lay was 1A

i don't see the similarity at all
i really like Love to Lay. it's not a song you would expect Abel to make back in 2016 but it works. production is ok, vocals are immaculate and the melodies are cool
for me, the duds on starboy are Nothing Without You and Attention. mainly because of the overprocessed vocals
