dawn is as uninspired as igor
This is just not true lmao have you ever listened to a Memento Mori episode?
Kiss Land was a flop and any fan expecting him to drop more of the same after that was selfish
He was destined to make pop music after covering Dirty Diana. it was gonna happen sooner or later. he tried it with Kiss Land, great album but didn't get him to the level he wanted so did what he wanted to do after that.
Yeah he was destined to, but the reason i prefer bbtm and after hours over dawn is cos they have something for everyone
I don’t think it’s that bad but I don’t think it’s great, production is crazy though. Just maybe disappointing considering what we’re used to recieving.
I feel like he’s done these types of sounds better before (Blinding Lights, Can’t Feel My Face, I Feel It Coming, In Your Eyes) and they’re all hits, a lot of this comes across as a MJ impersonation whereas he had those songs scattered around on more versatile projects which had elements of this sound, R&B, pop, and dark music which blended nicely.
I just feel like someone as talented as him, why feel the need to try and go off other people’s sounds (MJ & 80s lane) when he is so good at being original or putting his Abel spin on s***. I get why he’s doing it, but it comes at the cost of losing (some) core fans but at the same time he will be even bigger.
But ya those are my honest thoughts before someone calls me out for my username😈
IS THAT CLB IN YOUR USERNAME

Dawn is probably the most he’s been inspired on a record since Kiss Land lmao
In terms of songs individually (not considering cohesion), this is his worst body of work imo
Gasoline
How Do I Make You Love Me?
Take My Breath
Sacrifice
Out of Time
Is There Someone Else?
Starry Eyes
Don’t Break My Heart
I Heard You’re Married
Less Than Zero

fitting how he got tyler as one of the main features they mustve had fun cosplaying in the studio like they were from the 80s

Can we stop saying something is uninspired every time someone goes full pop?
The negative connotation around pop music has to stop.
Dawn is probably the most he’s been inspired on a record since Kiss Land lmao
This isn't even debatable
People are free to not like dawn fm for having no darker songs, this is very valid.
But don't hate on people who like this album more than other albums even when there are no dark songs. There are lots of people who will listen to this album who probably didn't like the weeknds whole M.O. and will think this is by far his best project. That opinion is very valid too.
Music is subjective. We like what we like. Personally I believe the quality of these songs surpass most of his old music, besides a portion of HOB, Kissland and AH songs.

It has all been growth and improving. Taking it to the next level.
Happy to have been on the journey through his music since the beginning. I hope we are many that can agree on that. Only looking forward while we can always go back in his discography.
It was a mistake to come back and read all these troll comments and s***ty takes
am going back to dawn fm universs
Did a play through of After Hours last night and it was euphoric, literally felt like I was ascending and being dragged into hell at the same time. I think I might take what I said about Dawn topping it back.. I think they’re both for sure on par with each other but it’s honestly very hard to say I like one more than the other with them both fresh on my mind. I’ll definitely have to let Dawn sit with me some more but either way to have dropped two albums of this quality back to back this far in his career is incredible. It gets me so excited to see what he’s got planned for the future
I will say, one thing I LOVE about Dawn is how many Kiss Land aspects it has to it, it almost feels like it’s futuristic but also retro sequel
One thing I LOVE about After Hours is the mixtape Abel aspects he brought to it, also you can hear Trilogy AND Kiss Land sprinkled all throughout that album and it makes it so hard to decide which one I like more.
As of now they’re both 10/10 albums for me and very well may enter classic status as the years pass
Y’all just be saying s***
