300K minimum. After Hours streamed 220K and Weeknd has only gotten exponentially bigger since the release of that album

    AH streamed 170

and i feel sorry for those who can't hear the genius and courage to even make album like this in this stage of fame and glory

thankful for music that respects art in its fullest form

No physicals were shipped so the first week sales are likely gonna be affected

the fact that this is even more of a passion project than AH was.

gasoline being an intro just screams, “this is not a normal pop album”

Yes, but After Hours did 440K with physicals, so I’m predicting that Dawn will do less than that but at least 300K off the streaming alone

You know the album is a classic when you not skipping the interludes on repeat listens

For me this is like kissland meets after hours. The sequencing, the concept, weird album cover, production risks, the super dark lyrics. Its all there

Only difference is that he mastered pop writing and his voice got stronger

He should've had Tyler on I Heard You're Married and Wayne on Here We Go Again

    Would've worked so much better

he could make easy hits with all of these so called pop stars. but he chooses to make album with the sound that doesnt speaks to new generation in the first place. he perfected that wave on this one and in some way he's teaching and pushing his listeners to expand and learn smth new (for them)

the social media discourse after every big album is actually the worst s*** ever

People looking for attention more than anything. Feeling like they are not like anyone else. Too cool for school to like it.

Most of them have no idea what they are talking about.

He did 170M with streams and digital song sales in 2020, and Dawn is performing on par so far, maybe a bit below. He‘s not gonna pull over 100k pure sales, that’s just unrealistic at this point.

Having TMB radio shortened version actually worked out tbh. Makes that long ass intro so powerful because you know what’s about to happen
