The more I think about this and actually reflect, this had potential to genuinely be a flawless movie, I think the rationale behind him crashing out (over a voicemail) set the tone for the plot to be none existent
still havenāt watched the movie, but i wonder if it would have been better received if it was released as multiple music videos connected
Just saw it, my girl and I were the only ones in the theater lol
I enjoyed it, hearing the music on the big screen was awesome, and the inner turmoil theme hit home deep for me at some parts
Not a movie guy so I donāt have these lofty expectations and critiques
Just came out of it, I had a good time
Not a masterpiece or anything, but definitely cool to see as a Weeknd fan.
Aināt nothin like getting the plot and everything correct before you see the film. All my guesses and assumptions were correct..
So I noticed that the the hut movie is only in theaters for a week
I checked my local AMC and I donāt see any showings past 5/21
Can anyone explain to me why this is ?
At the end of the day, she wasn't really trying to hurt him. She was trying to get him to confess and open up, even if it meant taking some extreme measures. That's what made the scene where he sings while he's in agony so powerful to me. It felt like a raw & very real moment.
Cool fact I recently learned, Trey actually had a whole monologue written for the confession scene but apparently Abel had just finished writing the title track the day before they shot that scene, and Trey decided to have him sing the song instead of delivering monologue
I feel you. Any thoughts as to why he was giving her the cold shoulder/disinterest the next day after losing his voice? Iām thinking the girl maybe texted him back because his vibe didnāt come off as I just had a nightmare of a show last night
Being nonchalant the morning after was basically him dismissing parts of himself to prioritize his Persona. They were also juggling themes with his perception/treatment towards women too, and that included Anima imo

saw for the fourth time (this time for free) and yeah it sets out what it needs to for this album. not perfect at all, some moments need more cooking ie they just weren't interesting enough to warrant screentime but I enjoy it a lot especially the first half of it and the part where he finally breaks and sings the title track to free himself.

Saw it for the fourth time last night. Just because it was free mainly. About 40 people at my theater. Way more than expected so the free deal must have got around
Some of the UK shops that had the blu ray up as a pre order have removed the page completely
F*** it Iāll rewatch it
