I think at this point some people are just tired of him creating a super deep persona for every album
Are they though? Chromakopia is his most succesfull record yet, selling near to 300k in the first week.
Flower Boy is anything but standard alt rap lol
album is a flawless mixture of soul, jazz, rap, like the album is insane
anything after that is fair game ig
Flower Boy is the best rap leaning album to release in the last ten years. All things accounted for.
yall let tyler sucking a white d*** excuse the damage he caused to many lives
I don't think Tyler has that level of influence my guy
Yeah s*** sounds like you supposed to like it but it’s not hitting
lmao

I'd say it's a 50/50, he will always have die hard fans as well as I'm noticing more and more people complaining about these exotic album rollouts. For me, Igor was the only time this really worked since he had the dope visuals mixed with great music, CMIYGL was kinda of a chore for me to get through the whole album, and still need more time for Chromakopia to sink
ok this f***ing got me 😭
If you don’t like the music, that’s fine. Don’t pretend that your opinion is some sort of objective revelation about the art. I love and feel Tyler’s music. If you don’t that’s ok! Stop being so dramatic
I think Tyler would benefit greatly from working with outside producers instead of doing all the prod 100% by himself
I completely disagree.
I think going into a Tyler album, you appreciate in a different way than anyone else’s albums because you know he orchestrated all of the pieces to make the whole.
I think removing that aspect of the album experience would remove some of what makes his music special and authentic.

I agree plus he already does collaborate with many different people on his albums... musicians of all types of background so it's not like he's just creating in a bubble

I go into a Tyler album with the same feelings as going into an Arca album or any other producer album. I’m interested in hearing what textures they created. That’s first and foremost what brings me to Tyler’s albums everytime is I’m interested in his growth as a musician.
Will always respect Tyler’s effort & genuine care for his music, & just the fact that he payed his dues, even if his music does absolutely nothing for me
@op kudos to u for typing all that out tho btw, sparked a good discussion thread
need more of this and less twitter ragebait embed ones
Something @op nailed is that on paper Sticky should be a massive record but he has way too much extra s*** on that song to make it an everyday listen for me
but i'm also aware that the things with him that I have issue with are some of the things his core responds to the most
shocked it has no remixes to make it even dancier ....
How an artist is so obsessed with Pharrell, Lupe, Frank Ocean, Drake , Ye and doesnt learn more from them or reach out to get their help more is baffling

of all niggas to be saying we need more discussion threads
I completely disagree.

Nah this J Cole "I did it all myself no features I did the production , I rapped every song, I wrote every song" s*** got to end just give us the best art I rather you collaborate with humans
stop acting like collaborating with humans takes ANYTHING AWAY FROM YOUR F***ING ART ITS NOT AI
he is best when he has women features preferably RNB kind of shocked to not see some on here where it would make the most sense
he shined with Caesar though
He's not that good but in this era he looks like a great artist cause of the rest of the field lol

well yeah because much of the rest of the field died to things he clowns gang life style and d*** use .....
Capital Steez
Pop Smoke
Juice Wrld
XXXTentacion
Flatbush Zombies
Underachievers
and so many more clear him in rapping his art is dope but there are artist with a FRACTION OF THE BUDGET THAT ARE DOPE
WHO DONT SELL OR CREATE PRODUCT LINES
WHO ARENT CONNECTED TO PHARRELL, TYLER THE CREATOR AND MORE
YALL NEED TO BE FOR REAL SOME TIMES
I think at this point some people are just tired of him creating a super deep persona for every album
*Ktt2
Cause outside loves Tyler lol.
kinda blows my mind people still don’t know how little Ye actually did on MBDTF
Mmmmm ye automatically was giving them a roadmap so this is actually the opposite.
Seriously this thread was never a knock on Tyler’s success or his talent both of which he has in droves
The big point I’m making is that his reputation precedes his music
If this was pre flower boy, yeah Tyler himself would agree with you. Hence why he deleted his tiktok and stopped edgeposting
