The humor made me feel like I was regressing back to prepubescense
That sucks man sorry you didn't enjoy
We already saw it was whatever version of "liberty" he felt like at the time
I was basically suggesting we could get further back story on his origin and what specifically makes him think like that
I didn't say it was as good but it's not alot of War comedy style films out there.
I get you didn't like it b and that's ok
Tropic Thunder a top 3 comedy for me is all and I could quote every joke nearly. This didn't have one memorable joke. Not that srs tho
Knew you'd be willing to do the gymnastics
Please tell me how Peacemaker is a complex enough character for his own show (and no I didn't like Falcon and Winter Soldier so you can't throw that at me)
None of the suicide squad is complex lol, if it's a screwball tone like this movie it won't matter cuz it's basically just live action south park/family guy s***
Smaller budgeted films that focus on personal storytelling and top-tier writing are the next wave
I thought it was alright, my main complaint is Harley tbh
The whole point of the movie is to feel like anything can happen to these guys, it’s high risk little reward. But we all know Harley is the darling of WB so it’s like...she’s just casually walking thru gunfire and can do whatever and it doesn’t feel risky at all
Meanwhile they just make up side characters to obliterate them and create this false sense of high stakes but you can tell right away who isn’t going anywhere
It was an issue for me because she was put to side immediately for a reason she basically had her own movie in the movie.
Actually thought that was a smart way to handle her
The fact Black Widow made more then The SS is in fact a testament to brand recognition/IP reputation overpowering the quality of a movie.
Been this way for a century
Rob Leifeld posting

Yeah with theaters suffering the era of (non marvel) massive budget cgi fest action movies might fade out and give way to more down to earth character based stuff with less emphasis on action since making a profit on a 150 mill budget is so much harder these days

Yeah DC really doesn't understand how to build films and hits at all I feel like I mean from the start I was wondering why Will was gone when he was why the first sold.

The running gag with polka dot dude and his mommy issues didn’t make you chuckle at all. Harley being set up in this magical romcom sequence with a corrupt dictator only to shoot him and talk about his red flags as a boyfriend while he’s bleeding out didn’t give you even a little laugh. Nothing with the weasel dude or the shark?

Yeah and blockbusters will be long form mini series ala WandaVision and Falcon & Winter Solider.

He wanted to but had another movie to shoot. Only reason Elba wasn't playing same character was so smith could come back in a sequel, something not likely to happen now

Tropic Thunder >> The SS
but this movie has plenty of memorable jokes that hit for me in this
I cherish peace with all my heart
Tidy Whities
TPK dumbass gimmick
Weasel drowning
King Shark trying to convince people of his fake mustache lol
Milton
No one likes a show off - unless what you’re showing off is dope as f***
Plenty of great moments

Not mad at that
We already saw it was whatever version of "liberty" he felt like at the time
No it's a testament that more people see PG-13 movies than R rated films

Apparently it was scheduling conflicts.
Always nice to hear from him
He is a horrible person imo

What comments/actions has he said/done for you to make that conclusion?

Tripped me out when after her whole speech her nutty ass was surprised the gun actually had a bullet in it.

They shoulda waited then Idk why DC Films seems so hyper unaware of their own brands and what brings people in.
All those years spent relying on Batman they dont know how to do anything else vs Marvel whose always had a wide range of characters in film.

I think word of mouth is going to make this movie its money back. It’s still pretty early.
