Guys like junior get to control the narrative now that D***ie’s dead. They would make up all kinds of s*** to save face.

Yeah but Tony not denying that doesnt line up. Sil and Paulie were around him a lot as well and they saw he wasnt a junkie.

  • Oct 3, 2021

Then again Sally most likely wasnt real and just D***ie's imagination/guilt so maybe he was tripping balls all the time

Tony clearly knew d***ie well—but didn’t spend enough time around him to confirm or deny. Would assume Sil and Paulie just thought D***ie was good at keeping it under wraps.

There’s something weird about that scene with Livia and the school counselor.

    was Tony molested by Livia?

Tony didn’t seem to believe it either because he’s shown to have a lot of respect for D***ie. That’s why he’s visibly upset when Christopher says something like “let’s be real, D***ie Moltisanti - my father, your hero - was nothing more than a junkie”.

Nah I think it was just one of the few times where she acted like a loving mom to Tony and he values the memory

I would agree with you but there’s an unsettling ambiguity with the wording used by Tony.

this movie was mid as hell. I enjoyed the scenes with D***ie and even young Tony but the timeline feels so f***ed up in this special like I can't tell who's young and who's old in it.

Junior's motivation for killing D\*\*\*ie is childish af it felt like i was watching a fanfic film

As someone who has an interest in the show and always intended on watching it this was a solid introduction. I feel like I would’ve picked up on more if I had seen the show but I still liked this.

Feel like this would’ve been better as a miniseries tho

He was constantly undermined by a peer in their "professional" environment. If anything, it's more biblical.

I guess but it’s not like D***ie did anything THAT bad it just felt like it needed to happen so the movie could end

    LOVE

Spoilers below since I always forget how to use the spoiler tags

Let me start with Christopher narrating the film was haunting loved how it started, with thats tony he choked me lmfao.

The actors and actresses that play johnny boy, tony soprano, Livia and D***i Moltisanti were great.

Junior was awfull. The actor was awful. And the way he was written was awful. He seemed like a dumb buffoon, which we all knew he wasnt.

There were certain things I didnt understand. The relationship between D*** Moltisanti and the black guy (forgot his name). They seemed to be working well together at the start of the movie? And then it al went to s***? There didnt seem any conclusion to it. IMO the entire story with the revolution and bla bla couldve been dropped. I was only interested in the italian characters

Also how did D***ie parade the goomar? It was his father's wife. Surely that was frowned up on? Even I felt betrayed when she cheated.

Honestly D***ie was a fascinating character and its a damn shame that we dont get a mini series.
To be able to see more of Johnny and D***ie. The come up of Tony, Jackie and Silvio wouldve been amazing

I felt really bad for D***ie. I guess his talks with his uncle was some sort of Melfi sessions. His death was also f***ing bullshit. You dont take a made guy out like that. Junior knows and plays by the rules.

    .

    lol man...

The show doesn't glamourize the characters or lifestyle. To say "they should drop the revolution story" destroys the theme and point.

D***ie didn't do anything "THAT BAD?".

Like killing his father to f\*\*\* his father's wife to later murder her. On top of how ridiculously racist he was.

I suppose that's the entire ethos of the show, you still like something about these characters despite how vile they are.
