Chase remains loyle to HBO. I think a sequel is definitely going to be made.
what did u think?
I think it’s about an 8/10. Not sure what people were expecting. I didn’t expect it to change how I view the show or anything.

Oh this is fantastic news.
Didn’t love this movie but he would SNAP on a 7-8 episode limited series or something.
i took my roommate who never saw The Sopranos and he said “I liked it, it was a good movie. I was confused sometimes”
its not ktt hating, almost all sopranos fans everywhere are disappointed in this
The Sopranos reddit absolutely despise the movie lol
I liked it 7.5/10
if they focused more on Uncle Junior, made the black antagonist’s story not as f\*\*\*ing corny, and fixed the awkwardness of some scenes (like the one where D\*\*\*ie hallucinates that he helped on a blind baseball team) then it’d be way better
I liked that
Chrissy is doing the narration. It tells what I really wondered about the beginnings of the Family. The movie felt like episodes which was kinda cool to me. The -isms the characters would do (besides Silvio, doing too much sometimes). The casting choices were pretty good. Jon B. as Johnny Boy is so dope because he fits what I thought of him. Also a lot of the movie you can tell what made Tony become the f\*\*\*ed up but semi self-aware person he was.
I enjoyed myself and will definitely rewatch to see what I missed

The reason Junior whacks D\*\*\*ie is so f\*\*\*ing utterly stupid
Shit literally pissed me the f\*\*\* off
I hope they make more Sopranos movies or a spin-off show. Doesn’t even have to be about Tony or involve him. It would be cool to see a show based on Chris’s dad doing mafia s***.
I hope they don't

IMO if it was built better then it’d make more sense. Spend some time off the black antagonist and show Junior feeling slighted and disrespected constantly. Something more substantial.
this would’ve worked much better as a mini series. hopefully there’s more to come. still didn’t understand the need for Harold’s story arch.

Wasn’t he working on a new show called The Ribbon of Dreams or something like that?
HBO’s El Camino.
I liked El Camino better because it was an end to the story
This movie was really good. I don’t get the criticism at all. What did you guys expect?

Fair point. At least El Camino provided some finality despite being unnecessary. This felt like David Chase took scrapped plans for a limited series and condensed it all into a mediocre two hour Sopranos episode.
The flashback episode in Season 1 handled Tony’s family history better than this and did it in half the time.

it really didn’t lmao this is such a reach. The movie was great for what we knew it was going to be about. We knew this was about D***ie more than Tony or his immediate family.
Damn thread reactions making me hesitant to watch
watch that s*** man. why not? Its worth the time
just watched tonight...very good film but I agree with a lot of others that it doesn't quite reach the heights of greatness the Sopranos did...cast was overall pretty good and the dialogue occasionally found that rhythm the show had but fell short overall IMO...feel like we're definitely getting a sequel though that focuses more on Tony during his younger years basically picking up where this left off...Michael said he's down but doesn't wanna play Tony as an adult...basically saying he won't do a straight up remake attempt of The Sopranos ever but I think it's possible we'll see more
50 minutes in and they’ve barely shown Tony….
not a tony movie
thought that was clear

Clear from what? Cus all the marketing has been geared around a Tony Soprano prequel and how he became the man he is
