Myself and US audiences completely disagree sadly, Dawn FM/HUT are extremely forgettable for them. That's a fact. They voted with their ears. That style of music hasn't been popular in the US for decades

His recent output made me forget how good after hours was. Great album.

They’re unpopular albums, “forgettable” is a separate conversation. Sales do not equal whether an album is memorable or not

Well they don't have the sales, they don't have the accolades, they don't have the critical acclaim, they don't have cultural impact

so how exactly is the average american gonna remember them in 10 years?

Told you that you got it and you’re still tryna prove me wrong

This pushing ain’t helping your case bruv

Your response sounded fake but aight, I aint gonna say nothing more about this.

    They were critically acclaimed

Both were included on numerous year-end lists and won awards as well

The average American won’t remember them because they weren’t popular albums, the average American only knows what’s popular

Why are you worried about the average American when you’re in Taiwan?

Kendrick’s production can definitely be boring at times but he also is just not a particularly interesting songwriter beyond lyrics most times this decade

Like wacced out murals is cool as a first listen for the lyrics but it’s not a song I’d ever play beyond that. Like cool, Kendrick told me how he feels. He ain’t make a song I wanna listen to though

thats crazy i play wacced out murals a lot

thats kinda how i feel about drake right now, just didn't feel like much on iceman was interesting from a lyric standpoint
i was more interested in what was happening on habibti if anything because there was an actual story/narrative to loosely follow

Drakes lyrics never really were a selling point to me with his music. It’s the production, songwriting, versatility and energy that brings me back to his stuff. Things I feel is lacking in most of Kendrick’s stuff outside TPAB and some of S80/GKMC/DAMN

Iceman is just super fun in all those areas and that’s why to me it’s his best since Views. Some of the Kendrick disses are repetitive for sure but for the most part I think the album works for someone holding resentment for corporate America, his haters and the rap game trying to bury him collectively and expressing that. I certainly buy it a lot more than Kendrick celebrating himself all over GNX because he baited Drake and dropped a dance track on him.

  • Takotchi

Yea and all im saying is thats at least slightly better than just believing w.e with no fact check and just running with that as the truth lol

not even saying youre doin that just niggas itt

fair but imo doing your own research is always better, even if it’s just to slowl learn how to

I think if an album is truly great, you’ll keep playing it occasionally. Kendrick hasn’t had that since DAMN for me

i know i'm on this island alone, but damn is overated lmao

prolly my least fav kendrick album not counting UU

the outcome of the beef was crazy
but realistically future himself didnt do anything that would be unforgivable

he never bumped NLU or jumped in like rick ross.

he still doesnt deserve that no 1, janice STFU needs to happen.

Ridiculous claims. He's one of the best songwriters in Hip-Hop history. You guys really let these stan wars cloud your judgement.

Kendrick, Rocky, and The Weeknd all dissed Drake on Future’s album. For a guy who dissed Khaled for being neutral and Jay for giving Kendrick the Super Bowl it’s seems weird he would forgive Future. They very well could of talked behind the scenes so who knows.

thats just how the game is, drake has dissed plenty of niggas as a feature as well, doubt he would be in his feeling about small s*** like this when other niggas are actually pushinhg the pdfile angle.

thats just rap s*** and metro was on his bullshit.
most of the disses on the metro albums were soft, only dot went really in and the beef that followed escalated very fast.

Drake forgave Future because Metro Boomin manipulated him, told him that Drake was talking s*** to one of Future’s hoes. Drake has high emotional IQ and saw the situation for what it was. It’s not f***ing rocket science to anyone who has emotional awareness

I really think the difference between future and all of them

Besides that with Rocky and weeknd s*** been going for years unlike future

Is that they actually discussed their issues like grown men lmao

I feel a lot of atlanta (21, thug...) was trying hard for them to make things up too
