Guy who just performed at the Super Bowl and has the #1 song in the US isn’t big in the US
-random guy on the internet
In my original post I mentioned he has been doing superstar numbers post-SB. It provides some context for this discussion.

He was doing superstar numbers years before the Super Bowl
Any other artist that has two of the highest-selling albums of a decade and does stadiums tours by themselves would be called a superstar in this country. The only way they wouldn’t be labeled as such is pure bigotry
One unfortunate side effect of the way this place has been moderated is that it allows weird freaks like this to run amok unchecked. Obv fader has every right to use the internet, but he should be bullied for it.
I could explain how the existence of my "bigotry" towards Latin Americans should be determined by how I treat them irl, not how I talk about a record label product on the internet, but it wouldn't do any good.
Instead, I'll say that I find it interesting how conversations about bigotry increasingly revolve around whether you like a product.
IE, you hate women if you dislike Star Wars 8.
There is a great article by The Last Psychiatrist on the topic if anyone is interested.

he literally had the best streaming album two years in a row in america before sb
morgan wallen is a superstar and i dont know a single song by him
more americans know a Bad Bunny song than a morgan wallen song

I wouldn't call Morgan Wallen a superstar either. I think he, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Chapelle Roan, and Doja Cat all have potential.
Imo the two most recent ones are Post Malone and maybe SZA.

Everyone can name songs like Pink Pony Club and NLU. Morgan Wallen is too reliant on white people who drive jeeps and go to Nashville for bachelorette parties.
He doesn't have any undeniable hits.
Yep
https://twitter.com/chartdata/status/2026031333122744444That’s good considering they didn’t do a lot of promo, no singles, it’s a short project and with Keem coming off a long hiatus
Bigger artists like Thug,Yb and Savage(pre-bot) didn’t do that much.

bro where do you live?
Bad Bunny is bigger than any male artist of our lifetime. You gotta be in some sort of a bubble.

Edit: idk why I took this s*** seriously.
No one is playing Bad Bunny like that. Play in traffic or something buddy.

And my girlfriend cannot name a single Taylor Swift song from the past 10 years but that doesn’t mean she’s not a superstar.
We live in a time where you can be massively popular and there’s still an entire subsection of people who do not check for you. That’s just the way culture works nowadays, that doesn’t mean Bad Bunny is not a superstar.
