Sorry to tell you but pure sales tell no story in the 2020’s.

You asked me a question, pure sales are the answer to your question. In 2026, they’re a marker of what artists are capable of doing outside of streaming

iceman had no website digital sales...

Neither did Morale or Off-Season first week.

Regardless, the difference between 3x the amount of digital download purchases first week is not the album being available on an artist’s webstore. There’s legitimately no difference between that and iTunes.

    300k no streams

    Yeah you’re smoking crack

You don’t do 30K first week on a collab album’s physical sales and then times that by ten first week for a solo album. That’s just now how it works

Hundreds of thousands of people buying your album in an era where they don’t want to, don’t have to, and barely like music will always be a W. There is no cope to mitigate that fact

Pure sales will always be king no matter how much these lames online try to act like it’s embarrassing

    Brain dead Drake stan cope

We denigrate music acts with fake fanbases who don't support their artists by streaming when they drop projects. Buying music is just one step further than hitting play in terms of fan support. It's certainly not meaningless and actually says a lot about fan dedication.

  • pure sales is king again, shaleirose got me regulated

30k people buying it 10 times

Pure sales tell the story. All of his albums since 2022 have debuted with about 10-12K in digital downloads. That is abnormally low for an artist of his stature. For reference, both Mr. Morale and GNX did around 35K in digital downloads, The Off-Season did 37K in digital downloads, etc.

Secondly, as much as you don't want to admit it because it wasn't a Drake solo album, the physical numbers for $$$4U support it. It released multiple variant CDs and vinyl at numerous retailers and didn't even pull 50K total sold. For context, another rap superstar that dropped a non-solo project in 2025 was Travis Scott, and Jackboys II did 160K first week in pure sales.

Drake fans primarily engage with his music by streaming it. They don't buy his physicals & merch en masse like fans of other artists do

Were you not telling The Fall Off pure sales didn't mean anything
