yeah I agree that gov/community would be able to pay for housing. But just getting rid of landlords won't do anything when they're just a branch to the real issue. Cause as of right now in this current system they're definitely necessary. I'm sure there wouldn't be landlords if the government allocated free housing
wow
it is almost as if the whole system needs to go.
hey @โs do you think you could implement something like this?
im sorry caves and ditches aren't shelter ๐๐
For real why do people think landlords pose such a problem? Simply learn to not be a broke ass, work hard to live well, and you won't have such a grudge against them
This isn't directed towards you
if landlords won't provide charity to the poor, which capitalists tout as the foil to communism, then why shouldn't they be taxed immense amounts for private, non-personal property to provide for the welfare of those who don't have a way to earn their own money?
the issue is that the current system is built to perpetuate itself.
if we tax the f*** out of them then they'll stop investing in new housing --> housing becomes even more inaccessible and expensive --> idiot right wingers blame us for "causing more homelessness"
the only solution is to deal with this at the roots
ur not winning if u think people should live in caves ๐๐
i'm trying to make a point, trying to get an answer of what he considers as shelter and he didn't answer me, cause a house is more than shelter
landlords build apartment complexes
no, i believe thats the workers.
if you think about it its really is the most despicable thing you can do in an "established and stable" society, to extract value from the basic needs of others

If you think about it.. Technically just straight giving everyone a place to live might be in humanities best interest. Like not implying you can't just buy another house if you made more money. But I'm thinking if everyone had a sure place to sleep at night no matter what it might be good for the collective mental health and safety. It would take a hell of a lot of money to get there but I can see it..

A housing being more than a shelter doesn't mean its not a shelter lmao.
Like, I have a dresser for clothes and it's also a tv stand
landlords build apartment complexes
landlords aren't doing carpentry

yeah agree, but why target landlords itt when they're just a product of that system, when they're making additional income off of it and provide people who desire it an affordable temporary place of living
go take care of your beer belly fatass
yeah agree, but why target landlords itt when they're just a product of that system, when they're making additional income off of it and provide people who desire it an affordable temporary place of living
Yes yes yes I wish everyone understood this
no, i believe thats the workers.
the landlord pays people to have apartment complex built without landlord they wouldn't be built
now you're getting it
Like fr what's the downside? We'd even create hella jobs.
yeah agree, but why target landlords itt when they're just a product of that system, when they're making additional income off of it and provide people who desire it an affordable temporary place of living
because they help to perpetuate the system??

landlords are perpetrators of the system. In fact, every person in the first world except the bottom class is a perpetrator of the system
