Tkkenonly if you take his point in the most literal sense.
like sure the apple i bought doesnt disappear even if the farmer who made it does, but all of the future apples will. that farmer is necessary for the production of something with a lot of use value to me.
same doesnt hold true for a guy whos only involvement is having a claim to the house
but at least in this current system if a landlord disappear then so does the source that pays for the construction of these housing units right ?

the workers who are actually necessary for the construction still exist. they can be compensated by the community/government etc.

yeah I agree that gov/community would be able to pay for housing. But just getting rid of landlords won't do anything when they're just a branch to the real issue. Cause as of right now in this current system they're definitely necessary. I'm sure there wouldn't be landlords if the government allocated free housing
