Facts
imagine Illmatic if Big Daddy Kane had a verse on every other song my g
So you implying this is Illmatic-tier?
So you implying this is Illmatic-tier?
nah, just saying why even with the rapping is good I personally cant respect this my g
Aye as a fellow "dusthead" I grew up where you respected the young niggas that could make an album without getting LeBron James-carried my g.
I really don’t think Jay got carried by Hov at all. They both did fantastic. But Jay only really takes over the track on Ghost & Flux. And both he starts the track. Jay Elect pen is just so much better to me, and it’s just relative cus this is my favorite Hov in a long time. Before anything tho it’s a Jay Elect album and he’s featured much more on here than Hov. And telling by the snippets from 2018 and all, this is the album he’s been wanting to make in the last few years and Hov seemingly inspired him to go that extra mile and get it done. But overall, the power and frequency of Jay Elect verses and his perspective is slightly edging out the brilliance and talent of Hov.
Also, seen a lot of people talking about Hov sound like Mach on this and that’s potentially true.
i might be biased, but it’s annoying to me how people like joe budden/half of ktt look at this album like he needed it to prove himself. like his recognition and reverence in the rap community is undeserved. these are people talking without the knowledge that he has over 100 songs and several mixtapes. his talent has already been showcased time and time again. he didn’t need this album to prove his legendary status.
i see people use the same energy with biggie. “he only had 2 albums!!!!! you can’t mention him with so and so” people value the wrong things over quality
Facts. Jay Elect has mad songs and the lyricism is on point throughout his entire mixtape and loosie catalog. The album just adds to his body of work.
And Joe just be saying and doing s*** to be edgy to keep the podcast interesting. It's entertainment.
Imagine Only Build 4 Cuban Linx with Ghostface feature
If Ghostface was considered the goat I would actually have an Issuewith this on a raekwon debut album.
“Like vince staples said we just wading in the water” is such an amazing throwback to the kingdom remix

Your bias is showing in this by the fact you comparing Jay E's loosies and Jay Z produced album to both of Biggie's where he carried his s*** my g.
I don't care how yall stans wanna move the goalpoasts because of this one nigga but I'm nto going for it 'nahmean?
