eh if my 14 year old daughter was like “mommy and daddy I wanna die for a cause I believe in” I’d be like ehhhh maybe let’s rethink this when you’re older

But that’s not his daughter bro

last of us pt 3, Ellie dies in the beginning so a cure can be created. It works and a cure is dispersed. factions start teaming up and taking out more zombies, making the west coast safer. but they need more supplies so they venture east and are torn to shreds by a horde. The end, everyone’s dead

In a world ravaged by zombies and the entire Fireflies organization wiped out, Jackson manages to have enough resources for its community and survive pretty well and patrol and kill a lot of zombies.

Imagine what would happen if there was now a cure. Supplies would grow even more

    Synopsis

    abbys dads words, quoted verbatim

    "I'm aware of the situation"

"No, I'm okay with developing a vaccine that will save millions of lives."

"I am begging you to buy in"

"all of the things we've been fighting for....all of that is justified with this one act"

And none of this is said in such a coldhearted tone that indicates he doesn't understand the complicated morality of his decision. he appears to be very stressed by the idea of what he has to do.

you're acting like he just went to marlene and said "yeah we've gotta kill her to get the vaccine, but thats ok because it will save a ton of people." that isn't what happened.

and fym he wasn't aware of how this would go lol? there is absolutely nothing in the scene that would lead one to believe that he has doubts that this will lead to a vaccine or that there's a chance it will be for nothing.

Lol That's exactly what his tone is lol!! His tone was that of a scientist not of a father making a difficult decision.

I love how you omitted how he tried to compare killing Ellie to fireflies dying for less.

You also skipped how he didn't answer Marlene's question on what if it was Abby.

This scene was to make us feel for him but it has the opposite effect because the entire time he kept trying to justify killing a child for an experiment he wasn't sure going to work.

It is to him bro, that’s the f***ing point of the game. That’s why we start the game as his first daughter. That’s the whole arc of the game

The f***ing soldier shot his daughter and it was unfair. She was taken and he had no choice.

Firefly tried to pull the same s*** but he beat them instead

Imagine what would happen if there was now a cure. Supplies would grow even more

If supplies dwindled they’d need to search for them, there’s no more factories producing military weapons

Searching in the new areas would be just as dangerous as before, just as likely to be torn to shreds

For your first point, that’s during a flashback before she got super jacked. Her and Owen are doing basic training so assuming that was shortly after they joined WLF

Ahh that makes sense, I still don't like how they had her built like Triple H

why would supplies dwindle? Every faction is doing just fine with supplies in this game in a world where zombies keep increasing. The issue for Jackson becomes the fact that there are more and more zombies coming near their area.

If there was immunity, communities would be more unified and this would help in being to get even more supplies.

Humanity is not saved by the cure dude. Humanity can still go out and get torn to shreds like Ellie does a hundred times

Exploring new states will be just as dangerous and the supplies they have in their states can’t remain stocked forever come on

Fireflies dying for less just continues to prove my point lol. How many of them have died for nothing, how many have died in search of a cure? If u can't understand tone that's on you but trying to make it seem as tho he was just some coldhearted scientist who wanted an excuse to run an experiment on ellie is completely dishonest

Just seems like ur way too emotionally attached to these characters that u can’t see the negative aspects in there decisions
If the cure is made millions are saved from infections and the infected no longer continue spreading. How is that not a better situation for humanity?

Lol there are no more factories producing materials and weapons and other vital s***... they’d have to find new supplies elsewhere... so they’d have to keep exploring new states and it’d be just as dangerous if not even more dangerous than just picking off zombies on the perimeter like they did with no cure ...

the whole point literally that you seem to fail to understand is that the zombies numbers will not go up.

In the current world, humans keep getting bit and turning into zombies. Thats literally the main issue in this game at the start with Jackson getting more and more zombies coming into their area.

no it’s not the problem is people are getting torn to shreds by zombies lol

it'd be less dangerous if anything man. Their current strategies are working and with immunity, there would only be a decrease in zombies. Yes, humans will die as they always have been anyway but with less zombies means more room to actually start investing in factories and to manufacture goods and weapons.

if people were getting torn to shreds by zombies they wouldn't be coming back as zombies guy. Like you are calling people idiots in this thread but you don't understand this simple ass reality in this game. There's more zombies coming near Jackson. That has nothing to do with people getting ripped to shreds.

I doubt they can just create factories, they’d need to travel to new states to find supplies. New states would be more dangerous and you’re just as likely to get torn to shreds dude

The factories have been destroyed and they would need engineers to fix... not apocalpyse survivors

it seems like there are factions in every state anyway. My whole point is with immunity, that creates a much more likely chance for factions to unite and team up. That is what it would take to invest in factories.

There are millions and millions of zombies in the world.

There are a very few amount of survivors

Those few turning into zombies would be a minuscule amount adding to the overall apocalypse. I’m sorry but this story makes no sense

So the story makes no sense because there is no point in hoping immunity can turn things around for humans?

Thank god you are in absolutely no leadership position in life with your cynical ass
