Props to ellie her girlfriend got a hell of a glow up in live action
i know bella was foaming at the mouth when she got casted
It’s been said before but the twitter reactions when the non gamers see the cabin scene and the theater scene are gonna be sooooo crazy man
Part 1 could have been done far better. They rushed so much as far as character development and world building, and had the nerve to cut ole boy literally mowing down an entire military complex into a f***ing brief music montage.
Most ppl love the spinoff story episodes, I thought they f***ed with the pacing big time considering how short the season was. Not to mention that goofy ass waste of space that was the cooky lady from 2 and a half men that ended up having no impact and going out in hilarious fashion
Kathleen was most definitely my least favorite part of season 1. But I understand that they needed a villain to better flesh out Henry and Sam’s story and motivations …but she just isn’t very interesting
But personally I feel like the show’s positives most definitely outweighed the negatives
There were a lot of highlights for me.
The first episode is a really great start, the whole Clicker sequence in episode 2 was done really well, the Bill episode is a great love story , the Endure and Survive episode is definitely a highlight and possibly the best episode, and the Left Behind and David episodes were adapted pretty well imo
But with all that said …I still think season 2 will be superior in every way

Agreed, feel like they re gonna do season 2 the way I wished they did season 1. Just the fact they re not squeezing the entire story into 1 season tells me that

Not squeezing all of tlou2 into one season

season is 7 episodes
So here’s hoping 7 episodes dedicated to Ellie and then another season Abby respectfully followed by one last season dedicated to the finale of the story ?

no clue how its gonna work BUT they did say season 3 should be longer
I did enjoy Season 1 but I'll backpack on someone else's opinion with Bella Ramsey is NOT a convincing Part 2 Ellie. It doesn't work when she looks like she hasn't aged with the 5 year jump the game had.

I can see them bouncing back and forth

I hope she proves me wrong. I loved Part 2 and I hope they do it right!
ayo?
No idea how they'll do it, just sayin lol
It would be strange to introduce a character and then ignore them for most of a season/2 years though.

Those Max budget cuts kicking the asses of ALL their best shows
7 episodes is definitely disappointing, but imma trust the process
It seems like Mazin and Druckmann actually took their time laying out a plan for these seasons and came to the conclusion that they could tell the story they wanted to tell in 7 episodes

HOTD will probably be seen as a MUCH bigger victim of budget cuts because they literally couldn’t finish the season’s story because they ran out of money

Nice to hear tbh might benefit from that very much
And tbh the budget for this looks like it was spent better than it was HOTD season 2. They built an entire city from scratch, and it looks like they took a more practical approach for the majority of the season.
I wouldn’t be suprised if HBO gave TLOU a bigger budget than HOTD had , TLOU was more successful than both seasons of HOTD.
If there’s one show that HBO would spend a load of money on, it would be this one

yeah HotD never had the chance to adjust from the sound of things. they just had 2 episodes lobbed off and had to roll with it.

I think Bella’s performance this season will be what shows the maturity and passage of time for Ellie’s character rather than the looks
As long as Bella acts more mature and speaks with a deeper voice than they used in season 1, that will be all it takes to convince audiences that a noticeable amount of time has passed .
And there shouldn’t be a problem with Bella doing that considering they are around that age in real life anyway

She’s a fine actress I just think she’s terrible for the part. She looks like a child and with what Ellie will have to do in this season I don’t know how well it’ll go. My faith is low but we shall see

ellie casting is without a doubt the worst thing about this show
but i guess we’re stuck with it no point complaining

True, there's nothing we can do about it. Bella is a made man and we aren't. We just have to sit still and take it
