imo over the top and forced and the conclusions they try to draw you to with the article are conflicted by the game's plot and themes itself

There is setting influences absolutely, but its themes are not about the conflict what so ever. Twitter will tell you otherwise though

If you want discourse about the creator himself, he is from israel and grew up on a camp, then moved to america when he was a kid. On october 7th (or whatever date the attacks was) he posted an israel flag, then since he has donated to both palestein and israel efforts and has stayed silent since donating.

tldr article tries to make it seem like the factions in the game are israel vs pal and say its a "both sides are bad" scenario when the game to me clearly depicts one side as much much much much worse. to make the connection you quite literally have to only think of the lense of the conflict then you go "oh ok i guess thats similar".

Its one of those things where if you only frame it with that narrative you can start connecting things that arnt intended at all. This game was writen in a writers room of various backgrounds, its not like it was a pro israeli campaign game lol.

Part 1 could have been done far better. They rushed so much as far as character development and world building, and had the nerve to cut ole boy literally mowing down an entire military complex into a f***ing brief music montage.

Most ppl love the spinoff story episodes, I thought they f***ed with the pacing big time considering how short the season was. Not to mention that goofy ass waste of space that was the cooky lady from 2 and a half men that ended up having no impact and going out in hilarious fashion
