Yeah I agree. It's a solid show. I'd give it a 7 maybe a 7.5. I hope the second season is better.

I think the second season with more time, more budget, more infected( not to a walking dead level) but really this season for me lacked stealth moments of more sneaking past situations like all moments of conflict lead to death which yes reinforced the universe but we knew ( game players and most who even lightly know that star power ) they weren't going to take damage so no medkits, no deaths, no respawns, no bullets endured so stealth would have helped. Sneaking past infected even far away. Like don't have to blow the budget. Episode 2 and Episode 5 ended with so many infected that spreading it out would have been the move for me. Yes I understand cutting many of the gameplay parts but some of the gameplay parts is part of how they bonded out of fear and desperation that some of this lacked. I know using a bottle , brick or wood plank may look silly in some situations but something with the feeling of desperation when running out of ammo. The shot of Joel reloading in episode 2 was perfection though. That nailed the feeling.

Some great human stories throughout. To me I liked human stories in Game 1 of the side characters better than game 2 so who knows but if they expand and change some things I am all for it.
