In some ways Joel's lie is better than the game saying raiders but also worse cause she 100% like how this old ass man I just saved with Penicillin escape Raiders but Marlene dead, all fireflies dead? If there are others like me why did the fireflies knock us out with a flash bang and I just woke up?

Besides. Playing the game you get more of an attachment to Joel, unlike the show where you're more invested in the relationship Joel and Ellie have rather than them as individuals

if you’re able to empathize with Joel and say you would do what he did to save Ellie. You’re able to empathize with Abby to do what she did, but you just refuse to because… reasons

this a stretch revenge is different from saving a life. Especially cause Joel knew he deserved to die. He was still going on scouting s\*\*\* when he really didn't NEED to be doing that. he was choosing and accepted the risk he could have died of a random infected too. If Ellie didn't see who killed him it would still make her sad. Her perfect stumbling at the same time isnt the same. Abby dad was just doing his job yes but TO ME if you going to make Marlene a bumbling terrorist might as well have made her push the doctor some. She was reluctant . Doctor was all about it. Held a scapel up to defend himself when he could have just stepped to the side or followed instructions and unhooked her. He didn't. Jerry doesn't even have a directly bitten person we see him care about nor does Abby. its just for all of humanity meanwhile they are shown to clearly hate some of humanity nor would inevitably everybody get it.

if you told me my daughter had to die to save the world I’d say f\*\*\* y’all I’m saving her. If you told me that man killed my father and potentially f\*\*\*ed the world I’m saying f\*\*\* you I’m going after him to seek revenge. I’m able to understand both sides. Understand both motivations. And empathize with both
