I am in short saying these concerns were raised throughout the entire season by many people. When people rose these concerns ( not just me ) it was the same old thing . So I don't understand anyone acting surprised by general audience reaction.

Like I don't understand being surprised that people don't view Joel as evil. Fireflies have not been shown as competent enough to distribute a cure or vaccine and infected have been highlighted in 3 episodes of this 9 episode season. So of course Joel going to focus on her over the world which he spent 10 hours seeing was in disarray and parents project that same way not just on an apocalypse but on our reality.

I think its out there that Ellie would think there was 0 chance of death and they would just want to draw her blood or do studies but I give it to them. Its never really clear if Ellie loves Joel enough to damn all of humanity until she travels across america to avenge him as silly as it looks

great finale show felt falt after episode 4 overall enjoyed it tho
