Nah lol gamers were coddled with Joel being a woke dad standing up for ellie and playing her guitar. For them he was perfect until death. I wish he did one irreprehensible thing other than lie about the game 1 ending. Because to them they YEARS LATER think Ellie being mad at him is out of character, that he did nothing wrong, that fireflies, Marlene, Jerry Anderson and Abby clear evil. They think spending time with any of those characters was a waste. He didn't deserve a redemption arc or peaceful chilling in Jackson.

I don’t think she was evil. I even liked Marlene. But she did handle the whole thing like an a\*\*\*\*\*\* and Joel wasn’t wrong.. she WOULD have come after Ellie eventually. I think most people would understand killing her in that situation. Not really a “gamer” moment or whatever.

Need Abby to be revealed in last episode, so it won't be a stupid out of nowhere reveal that she wanted revenge on Joel
