i agree how exactly they did the scene wasn't a home run for me, but it was cool to see them build upon the scene. they stayed true to the source material and the pathos of the moment, but gave something for people familiar with the source material to be like "hey that was cool they tried something a little different" without feeling like it was a rewrite or something

i've praised their ability to adapt itt before with how they change timing of locations and move moments around within episodes vs the game and have like almost every change made.

Us gamers do have the pre conceived notions of how the story can be, and remember our initial reactions and try to compare if it lives up to those initial reactions. Hard to live up to those highs of playing the game for the first time in 2013, but for the most part this show is doing that for me.

And now tv audiences who havnt played the game, are experiencing what we went through back then through this. And by reading twitter, seeing tik tok reactions and more. These first time viewers are feeling what we felt. And that alone is enough to say this show is a success
