they DEFINITLEY could've don 10 episodes and let episode 6 breathe some more tho

bella's ellies is just so good man. i've liked her performance since ep 1 but every episode i love it more

such a slightly different feel than the games ellie but still perfectly captures it

Add some gameplay parts / filler to others ( character development) where they build a bond

Drama they got it for most part but definitely wish we got them fighting a bloater or sneaking around enemies and s*** . I should have appreciated the episode 2 tension when it dropped instead I was like “ it will get even better “

Why this show sucks. No good action

i mean that's always gonna be why the game tells the story better

but really just so many critical moments from the game felt like they went by in a blink. the key one being the house argument between joel and ellie and the university section. maybe the scenes were the exact same length in the game but controlling and actively being in the setting's via game play just felt like the emotions had more ramp up and cool down.

in ep 2 they did a great job with tess's death. the scene had some time to breathe and sink in. they added stuff to it that wasn't in the game that didn't detract from the original moment. wish they found a way to do that with more of the crucial story beat scenes

the argument in the house when ellie ran is one of the best character moments in the entire series, and i forgot the scene even happened by the end of the episode in the show

This is weird to me. Idk if I just felt more attached cause it was live action vs in a video game while holding a controller.

But that scene in the game is f***ing amazing and I’m just in awe of the acting

Lol when I said it’s different to play a story and immerse in the Character then watch it they clowned me . Tess death that kiss thing wasn’t it for me especially since infected not that large of a part was more weird and unnecessary but I get it

I am curious not even to argue but does anyone think the show is better in storytelling of game 1 like you would rather rewatch show than play game 1?

The game is better way to experience the story and that’s not even a dig on the show.

The show is absolutely an amazing adaption and legit a dream come true for me. But the game will always be the superior way to experience it. And that’s not taking away anything from this show. They can co-exist together, and now someone can choose between playing the game for the first time, and watching the show: and both imo will suffice.

pedro and bella definitely killed the scene, no knock on them in any form. they've been great through and trough

i completely see what you're saying tho. a lot of the moments just clicked harder for me via the game. a large part could be im remembering my initial response to the first time seeing these story beats unfold, but i did play lou1 like 5 times lol
