Why you skipped over left behind in the first place is beyond me
I didn't have a console for a long period of time. 2013 was kind of stacked for games GTA V, Ni No Kuni, Last of Us , Bioshock Infinite and I was in school and working. It isn't so much as "skipped over" its some of us get busy
then once outside momentum of universe I just started playing games again. Didn't know if I had left behind on plus then everyone hounded to play last of us 2 so I started it in September and have been on and off playing it when I feel like it

Played some Last of Us 2 today. Playing Left Behind now
Sent my ex who watched me play TLOU2 the scene from Part One where Ellie and Joel have that confrontation over Sarah in the cabin.
She put into words what I’ve been trying to put my finger on. Which is essentially that ironically there’s more emotion in the game than in the show and Pedro’s playing Joel so stoically it’s hard to care. She wasn’t even upset when Joel had his fakeout death scene at the end of episode 6. That s*** had no weight to it

You still love her?
But yeah I have said the same Pedro is more Stoic . Facial reactions etc where its just different. Its not bad. Its just different when you have great mocap technology then you compare to pedro. Joel in game face, body language , tone , delivery all very very expressive. S*** even Sam and Henry in show very very expressive and Joel Pedro is very stoic. Yes we have seen him laugh, we have seen him worried for Ellie but its just different degrees. Its not really like Pedro is bad in anyway shape or form I just connect more with his face and expressions in interviews than in the show. Then the same kind of applies to Bella. Joel isn't a lovable enough character for me in this to care about death fakeout because part of it is what is he living for ? He is grumpy with Tommy and in a way show makes it seem like mad Tommy married Maria, He grieving for Sarah still and only so connected to Ellie so death would bring him peace. Yes he is trying to get Ellie there to change the past for Sarah but the connection between Joel and Ellie is just different. Show only watchers may never play the game though so even if they just get it some what its a success.

I’ll always have love for her but since she watched me play the second game we just chat weekly about the show.
Shows not bad I just don’t really care in the way I did while playing. Idk maybe the season should have been longer ? Idfk

think we just needed more Joel and Ellie time of them seeing struggles and being in danger. Also talking/wandering. Campfire scene was cool though. Because obviously we know they got the plot armor of we 100% know they are going to make it . I know people think med kits would have been silly but the idea of dying or medkits tension should have been worked in SOME HOW for television. Having them not take any damage up until this point made it hit different.

How you like em?
Put it down for a moment cause I started day playing like 3 hours of Last of Us 2 and
I can only do so much of this series there is so little joy
How you like em?
Last of Us 2 is soild mix I am only about half way almost to half way point. At times feels a lil tedious but getting through it. Not bad. Gameplay is well done enjoying the stealth . I am pushing through it because I want to finish it. Miss human stories of like Bill, Sam Henry cause those what stood out game 1 for me even more than Joel and Ellie besides ending. But seeing WLF, Seraphites so far cool I guess.
Left Behind still early on but will beat it before tomorrow episode

I think I shall too. Killing of each enemy isn't bad . Seeing people being hanged, corpses over and over again does just become numbing. I wonder how show will pull it off. Ellie not bouncing off anyone as in talking to anyone for a lot of the game so far adds to drain feel. Dina cool hope in show she gets more backstory or cold open to cook

Joel just seemed confused more than anything and their make up scene the next day felt like they had a minor argument and were like "Nah its cool man"
Was way heavier and emotional in the game
