I basically think the same . Time not really an issue so much as execution for the rest of it to stick the landing. Think the massacre will be much smaller with the establishing of joel anxiety , coming off injury and he has killed much fewer people. How exactly they will pull it off who knows but him doing a full massacre of security, doctor and marlene at this point would just look beyond silly

I think the same substance can be gained even with a smaller group, as long as the execution is well handled and still demonstrates what Joel is doing to be morally wrong. Definitely by showing his ruthless methods and coldness. I hope they really lay into the desperation and selfishness of his choice

I mean depends how they depict the fireflies, marlene, if the recordings of jerry and marlene play a part in the ending as to whether what he is doing will be seen as morally wrong. That is why I have been mentioning show more fireflies and marlene. Its not like he can ask them to stop and some angles it is presented it is less morally grey . In game its always morally grey because we are being made to kill weaponless people just watching it though is a different sell. Time will tell

show takes a while to produce so we are likely about 5 years before a season 4 too. If season 1 completes this year lets say season 2 2024 or 2025, season 3 2026 or 2027 , Game 3 announcement this year or next then drops soon after. The timing isn't that big of a worry. show is expensive wouldn't make sense to pump it out rapid fire either way hbo has other shows

Marlene such a poorly written character lmfao. I thought since they were bringing her actress from the game they would give her more than to get headshotted to work with. Especially if part 2 brings fireflies back late game

we will get a little more. I think finally is Marlene perspective of surgery, fireflies, Joel, Ellie mom giving birth to her then massacre. All in 43 minutes. Shocked they haven't used cold opens to flesh out fireflies and search for vaccine or what a vaccine would mean to the world. vaccine makes more sense in a spores world, but in a tendrils world where we can go episodes without infected being a major factor would just help to hammer home. Who knows though I have accepted the show is a different stroke
