What is it meant to be then?
The last of us has always been about characters and their relationships and drama and character development
Not about action and zombies and killing people
We love to see it, another great f***ing episode
Yep

Yeah pretty much anyone signing on for a “~~zombie action show” is watching the wrong show and always has been

Synopsis when he saw that
El chapo last night: liking the episode and saying Kr0niic takes a w this week great episode
El chapo in the morning after reading bait posts: YALL SPITTIN
lol I can't say what they say cause y'all gonna b**** at me
. I have said what many of them are saying and I get told I am nitpicking , hating, stop watching. So eventually its more fun to just watch. I didn't want to nitpick last night or this week. I think its a solid episode. I think this episode CEMENTED the show is a different vibe than the game. I thought episode 5 cemented that too. I am enjoying the show for what it is. Even though I liked the game telling better.
you still get a W for the week in a way. Its not a dogshit episode and no episode has been dogshit

I only watched a play through of the games so forgive me
Ain’t one of the main parts of the game killing zombies?
Yep
This and The Americans might be the only two positive representations of communism, even though this wasn't much. But, lmfao, at this point, I'll take anything
People wanting TLOU to be like a zombie action show is like people who thought Lost was just gonna be a cast away show but instead got a really heady scifi that they didn’t realize they signed up for

It’s a video game.
No s***. But the game was never about that nor were zombies the main theme of the game. Was always just a backdrop for the characters

So when those things feel rushed or forced due to the format of the new medium we can’t discuss what we don’t like about it Vs what we did like from the original medium?
I’m not complaining about the zombies or action I’m complaining about the drama, relationships and characters lmao
People want more violence but then they'd be complaining that the stakes are low because of all the plot armour
nah I am more if you do more violence have them treat wounds throughout the show . Have them get attacked at night again. S*** I don't care build up to a major injury this week. I think the stakes for some have been low because it has been a no damage no hit run up to this point.

its partially been about killing people though even game 1

You are free to complain about that and it feeling “rushed” because of the absence of the enemy encounters to let scenes breathe. But remove those enemy encounters, what you’re seeing is how the game presented all these scenes.

they threw the entire infected budget into episode 5. I think some are just saying split that up into multiple episodes
its partially been about killing people though even game 1
I’m not saying you’re wrong. It’s a part of the games. There’s violence and there’s killing. But it’s not the purpose the theme of these games and needed at every episode / scene
Now If we were talking about tlou2
Violence is an actual theme of that story and there will be violence in that adaption if y’all want that.

I don't think it needs it every episode or scene but I do think Joel and Ellie having more moments of conflict would address a lot of people in this thread concerns about the show. Its not walking dead doesn't need it every episode but I am confused on why they would put so many infected in episode 5 and so little in every other episode that needs tension. That needs that feeling of seeing the horrors of what they are trying to cure.

true they should spend 8 minutes per episode treating injuries
