oh yeah show is by no way over. I am optimistic. I liked the Bill change thought it was a good way to hook people in especially compared to focusing on action which I honestly think is this shows weak spot. I think with Joel Ellie Bella Pedro being able to be more human and less robotic as he has been so far and aggy as she has been so far they will have time to bond.

I think part of why we felt the bond was stronger in the game was because they had seen so many more combat encounters, she had given hints , talked more about random s*** by this point and also again obviously format change. Then also any "transport this important powerful girl" story has kind of bonded the characters quickly even if there was animosity. Joel is feeling human again. I am lowkey surprised they didn't spend some of this time with how good Nico Parker performance was of each time he sleeps or at least a cold open on this episode being him truly coping with her loss

Regardless of how it lands for us personally the ratings are there, the reviews are there and they already got another season. I am glad newcomers and fanboys are connecting with it. Do I think it changes how most video game stories are looked at ? No. If they do make a last of us 3 I hope they take lessons from tv, movies and all they can

Id say play up until where episode 4 ends. and watch week to week to appreciate the differences in the show and the game, so you can be accepting of the changes instead of nitpicking and going "THEY DIDNT INCLUDE THIS OBSCURE THING"
