As much as I’m enjoying this show I really don’t think Pedro is doing a good job as Joel, he has no emotional pull whatsoever and always ends up sounding like he just wants to take a nap. I end up feeling no empathy for him when that’s all I end up feeling for Joel in the game. Joel’s a broken man and I feel none of that out of Pedros performance he just feels like a guy. Still 7 episodes to go though but it’s a dry performance for me so far

At this point in the game Joel doesn’t really show any emotion and wants to move on from any trauma. And not discuss / think about things

I thought Pedro has already shown he can do a good job with emotional pull with the prologue scene in episode 1. Let’s see where he goes in later episodes and tries to replicate that.

Just think as of right now we are only really 2 hours in the game lol tons more left for this

I do think Pedro is doing a decent job though. He's the best part of the show by far.

Episode 2 was a major improvement in every department for me, Ellie casting still baffling to me, no sympathy for that forehead but she's a kid so I gotta stop being a d*** but man lmaoo

Not an excuse. At this point in the game going to Bills he does not show any type of love towards ellie and is still an angry old man. It’s fitting for where we would be in the game. He sounds like Joel for the most part too.

Also I think they do a better job showing how he changed when in the prologue compared to the game prologue easily.

I just replayed the first 2 hours of the game up till where episode 2 ends just an hour ago

All Joel has done outside of the prologue is grunt and complain

Rewatched the episode 3 times. I love how the infected in the show work. Makes me wish the games were similar with the tendril stuff and infected jumping over cover.

Also no incest puts this show above house of the dragon.
