In the podcasts and such they touched on it, really all they said was early on they decided no spores, as it was “unrealistic” and after talking to scientists if it spread through spores everyone would have to wear a gas mask 24/7 and they way it’s only in certain enclosed spaces doesn’t really make sense.
So they pivoted to tendrils which was in early tlou concept art but scraped as it was too advanced of a mechanic for the ps3
nice was that from this weeks episode? still need to listen

oh damn i totally missed that or already forget 🤣

Yeah lol Neil was talking about how originally on the ps3 tendrils were supposed to be growing from walls from dead infected, and if you got too close they would grab you and alert infected near by
in the trailer!
I stayed away from trailers, just got a ps5 a few weeks ago and beat pt 1 and I’m almost done with 2

hell yeah!
Really hope we see some shamblers and bloaters
Stalkers too.
Can't wait to see the Rat King as well.
Yeah...
That's the main thing people are b****ing about & rightfully so.
The director said that there won't be spores this season, but down the road they'll make an appearance.
Eh I’m not too bothered about no spores so far at all.
The one scene so far that spores were used as a narrative point in the game was easily tweaked this episode.
In the game Ellie breathes in spores, in the show, Ellie gets bit again by a clicker. Had the same effect and allowed Joel and Tess to believe the immunity was real.
Now spores in 2 on the other hand…… id prefer to see a certain scene (I’m sure you know which one if you played 2) with spores, that would be completely different without. They said they may play around with spores next season so we will see
But but..: that was gameplay that part was Bruce’s fault :copeium:
Hows that gameplay lol
Stalkers too.
Can't wait to see the Rat King as well.
Just beat the rat king last night s*** had me so f***ed up
Hows that gameplay lol
The reason there’s fedra all around is cause leading up to is is a whole bunch of fedra stealth encounters escaping the city
Just beat the rat king last night s*** had me so f***ed up
First time encounter I screamed loud af & my fiancee chucked her flip flop at my dome for waking her ass up.
Just beat the rat king last night s*** had me so f***ed up
when i saw this playing the game i was like awwwwe hell naw there aint no way lmao
In the podcast Craig said it was changed to infected cause “why would fedra even be at the state house, it makes 0 sense: fedra is there to guard the QZ and the buffer zones. They wouldn’t wonder out to the state house just to kill fireflies”
the feds and the fireflies are at war though, why wouldnt they be hunting them down?

Which makes if they would have went with that in the show tbh. Don't see Craigs point, thats why I surprised he was kinda dissing that part.

In Craig’s words fedra are there to keep them from the QZ and their buffer zones. They are not ones to go out seeking way outside the QZ to hunt them down.
There’s a reason fedra only really in Boston

Prepare for more Craig changes. Craig wrote 90% of the show I believe

Craig sounds like a b**** tbh
Craig sounds like a b**** tbh
Craig wrote Chernobyl I trust him with my life
None of his changes so far take away from the story
That is until next week when he changes the cannon
i feel too like the show is giving us more perspective on how much of a struggle the fireflys are having. like that dialogue on them having been basically getting f***ed for 20 years in their fight with fedra, you really get a sense in the show that lowkey the fireflys aint really s*** when it comes to being a threat to overthrow fedra, despite all their efforts.
my head-cannon for fedra not chasing after them is it isnt worth their time treking through heavy infected populated areas just to kill some fireflys that probably arnt a huge threat to them anyway
